Nasir Hossain stepped into international cricket almost a decade ago. This all-rounder has also shown his cricketing talent in the red-green jersey. Due to his responsible batting in the lower middle order, he was also once known as a finisher. Although Nasir could not maintain that continuity for long. Ruled out of orbit.

Nasir did not stop being excluded from the national team; he got involved in several controversies. Everyone in the cricket community has assumed that this cricketer known as ‘Bad Boy’ is finished. But no, this all-rounder is back with a glimpse of his talent again in twenty-two yards. In this season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Nasir is in a great form in the jersey of Dhaka Dominators.

So, Nasir raised the possibility of returning to the national team from being lost. However, he left the matter entirely to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In this context, Nasir said, “Now the performance is getting better. I feel good too. Of course, I want to return to the national team. But that is the decision of the board. My job is to perform well on the field.”

Nasir is not only focusing on performance but also on his fitness to play in the national team again. He also told to work separately to stay 100% fit. Football’s little wizard Lionel Messi moved to Spain as a child but played in the national team for his native Argentina. In cricket too, there are few cases of emigration and playing for other countries. British cricketer Robin Das of Bangladeshi origin is playing in this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Although born in England, he is Bangladeshi by paternal sources. Interestingly, his inspiration is Bangladeshi cricketer Liton Das.

This young cricketer was with the national team even though he did not get a place in the national team of England. Robin Das was in England’s dressing room at Lord’s last year. He has fielding experience in a Test there. The budding England cricketer caught the eye very quickly with his performances and if all goes well, he might get a chance in the national team very soon.

When asked how the dressing room experience with the England team was, he told reporters, “It was very exciting for me. Any cricketer wants to represent the national team jersey. Sharing the dressing room with a team like England was a great opportunity and experience for me. Learned a lot from Big the stars. Saw how they prepared themselves during matches. It was great to be in a Test atmosphere at Lord’s. Definitely a memorable event in my career. I have learned many things from the cricketers. It’s a very good experience. “

Although he grew up in England, this English cricketer’s favorite cricketer is Liton Das of Bangladesh. Robin also said that Robin liked Liton’s batting very much and it inspired him. He said, “I have seen Liton Dash play many times, he is an exceptional cricketer. I watch his batting with heart. He was probably one of the best cricketers in Bangladesh last year in all three formats. His batting makes me happy; I think he is one of the best cricketers in the world. He inspires me. Looking forward to learning from him in BPL as well.”

Although he likes Bangladeshi cricket, Robin wants to play for England. He currently plays county cricket for Essex. Robin said about the future, “I grew up in England. I started cricket there, then I played in the county for Essex. I think in the future I will play in the England jersey if possible.”

The young cricketer made his debut for Essex in the T20 League in September 2020. Earlier, this right-handed English batsman scored an unbeaten 200 runs in a U-16 team match in 2018. He played in seven out of eight matches in the 2022 Royal London Cup, as well as matches against Sussex Sharks and Glamorgan last season.

Hardik’s wife expressed anger over his controversial dismissal

Hardik Pandya experienced a controversial dismissal in the first ODI of the three-match series against New Zealand. The umpires who gave Hardik out, could have called that ball ‘no’ if he wanted. Because the action replay showed, the wicketkeeper’s gloves were in front of the wicket when the ball was delivered. Also, it can be seen that the ball did not touch the bat and the stamp. Hardik’s wife has also expressed anger about this dismissal.

Many in the field were surprised to see Hardik’s out. However, it was only the Kiwi cricketers who celebrated after getting wicket as opponents. The discussion about this wrong decision of the umpire did not stop even after the match. From experts to common cricket fans, many feel that the Indian all-rounder was a victim of a wrong decision by the umpires. So, the question arises in the cricket world, how is it out?

Meanwhile, his wife Natasha Stankovic also expressed anger over Hardik’s controversial dismissal. She published two pictures of the dismissal on her official Instagram. In the caption of the photo, Stankovic wrote, “The ball did not make any contact with Hardik’s bat. Also, the ball did not hit the stumps. So why exactly did the umpires give Hardik out?”

Ravi Shastri also expressed surprise about Hardik’s out. At that time, this former Indian cricketer was in the commentary room with a microphone. When Hardik leaves the field shaking his head, Shastri was seen talking in a surprised tone. Hardik also regretted such a wrong decision of the umpire at the crucial moment of the match. A clear impression was seen on his face.

But the interesting thing is that Ishan Kishan tried to avenge Hardik’s out in that match. But the Indian wicketkeeper failed in that attempt. When Tom Latham was batting in New Zealand’s innings, Keeshan dropped the ball on a glove touch during a delivery. Although the umpire did not notice the matter well, Latham was given not out with the help of the third umpire. But above all, Hardik’s controversial out in the discussion.

Ashwin call for bringing forward the time of the World Cup match

A day-night ODI on Asian soil means a match that starts at 1:30 PM. That’s why the match ended around midnight. However, during the winter season, it becomes very difficult to play matches at this time. Because, as the night progresses, the amount of dew also increases. Team India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin appealed to the ICC to bring forward the timing of the match to avoid this dew in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

The ICC ODI World Cup is going to be held in India in October-November this year. As the schedule to be played in the winter season, the field is naturally expected to be dewy. That’s why Ashwin’s headache is so that the dew cannot have any effect on the game. Recently on his YouTube channel, Ashwin appealed for the matches to start at 11:30 am.

Ashwin said, “India have done well on slow wickets recently in the Sri Lanka series. It cannot be said that Sri Lanka played badly either. I don’t think there was much difference between the two teams. There was a little gap due to dew after the toss. If we want the upcoming World Cup matches to start at 11:30. We can do. The starting time of the match should be fixed according to the ground being played.”

Ashwin has drawn the attention of ICC in this regard. The Indian bowling all-rounder also said, “There will be dew here during the World Cup matches. This is well known by the ICC. This dew can seriously affect the match. That’s why the ICC should bring the match time forward and start the game at 11:30. Even if the match time is brought forward a little, the World Cup The audience will not decrease.”

Meanwhile, India has started planning around the World Cup at home since the beginning of the year. Because the Asian giants have not been able to bring home an ICC title for a long time. India last won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 under Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Last won the ODI World Cup in 2011. So, this time, Team India is desperate to become the champion at home.

BCB’s new initiative to improve the performance of cricketers

Bangladesh Cricket Board is starting a new rule to improve the annual performance of the cricketers. The performance of the cricketers will be reviewed every six months. More attention will be paid to who is playing how. And based on this, the annual contract may improve or deteriorate. This new decision has been taken by the board to make the cricketers pay more attention to their annual contracts. Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu and board officer Jalal Yunus said this in the press conference.

About the annual contract with the cricketers, board official Jalal Yunus said, “We have brought some changes in the board. To improve the performance of the players, the cricketers under the contract will be judged every six months. We want consistent performance from the players. So, the Bangladesh Cricket Board wants, they should pay attention to contracts. Board has not decided yet whether a contracted player will be dropped if he performs badly. But we want healthy competition in the team. So BCB wants a healthy competition between the players to get into the annual contract of the board. This will further strengthen the country’s cricket pipeline.”

At the press conference, Board Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, “We want consistent performance. As a result of the new rule, the cricketers will not think that their place in the team is fixed. Everyone will focus more on playing consistently. But the contract will not change in six months. This rule is to bring healthy competition among cricketers of the country. All cricketers are equal to us, as a result of the new rule, everyone will know that if they play badly, they will be questioned, so there is no alternative to playing well.”

Meanwhile, there is a change in the coaching position of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. BCB is appointing a new coach after the team’s head coach Russell Domingo resigned. According to board sources, the coach has been appointed, now only formalities remain. Hathurusinghe will be the head coach of the Tigers. And the board wants Sridharan Sriram as Hathurusingha’s assistant. But Sriram objected to become an assistant coach. Sriram once came to Dhaka and discussed. BCB also informed that Sriram will be discussed again after the arrival of the head coach of the Tigers.

There have been many changes in the Bangladesh cricket team. Mushfiqur Rahim retired from short format cricket. After the failure of the last Asia Cup, he announced his retirement after coming to the country. Tamim Iqbal also said goodbye to T20 cricket. On the other hand, Mahmudullah Riyad has retired from Test cricket. Despite not retiring from T20, this all-rounder is not getting a place in the team. He may be kept in ODI cricket. Liton does not like his batting

Since his debut in international cricket in 2015, Liton Kumar Das has been heavily criticized in Bangladesh cricket. But that is just a past story now. However, it was not just consistency in Liton’s bat that left the signature of caliver from the beginning of his career. After getting that consistency everyone says “peace of eyes” after seeing Liton’s batting. But Liton himself does not like his batting. This is what one of the batting pillars of Team Bangladesh said in a press conference.

Liton is in rhythm in this year’s BPL as well. Although he could not extend the innings in the first few matches, this opener proved himself later. Comilla Victorians are also winning relying on his bat. Responding to a question about his batting that impressed everyone, Liton said, “Many times I watch my batting highlights on television. I feel like I need to do better.”

Liton also revealed the secret of his success in the media. The Tiger opener maintains his hard work as well as mindset to achieve success. Liton said, “I don’t practice too much. I do as much as I need to. Give time to family. To be stress-free. Try to stay focused during the game. If it’s good, it can be done well.”

Liton plays attractive shots at 22 yards. All his shots left the audience mesmerized. But to whom, who gives so much entertainment, which is his favorite shot? Liton told the straight drive! The right-handed batsman said, “Whenever I bat, I try to play a straight drive shot. This is my favorite shot. But I can’t get it right. It happens sometimes.”

It should be noted that Liton spent time like a dream in 2022. He is the second highest run-scorer in all three formats of international cricket. Which is the highest among Bangladeshi batsmen. Bangladesh has not played any match in 2023 till now. Liton may want to maintain consistency with the bat this year. His recent form is showing that promise.

Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders bought Liton in this year’s IPL auction. Liton wants to play well there too. He also said that he is looking forward to learning from IPL. According to Liton, these franchise-based leagues play an important role in the development of players’ careers. However, Liton’s target for now is to make Comilla the champion in the BPL.

The reason is clear, he is in good form with the ball in the SAT20 league.

Magala last played in the national team jersey, against India in January 2022. This wicket-taker bowler in the ongoing SAT20 league has been praised by the country’s chief selector Victor Mpetsang. According to him, Magala was left out of the national team only due to lack of fitness. In this regard, Mpitsang said, “We have been watching him for the past few years. He has performed well. But his fitness has not been good these few years. So, we could not take him.”

Meanwhile, the Proteas will start the series against the English at home on January 27. Then the second ODI of the series will be held on January 29. After that, the third and last ODI match will be played in the month of February. The two teams will fight on the field on the 1st of that month. Warner bid farewell to international cricket in 2024?

Did the farewell bell ring of Australia’s 36-year-old cricketer David Warner? This Aussie opener has decided to retire from international cricket. Aussie opener told the Australian media that may be his last year in international cricket. Warner hinted at retirement last year and gave the same glimpse at the start of this year. Since then, the question has been coming back, is the Warner chapter of Team Australia going to be end?

Warner hinted about his retirement from Test cricket late last year. After playing the Ashes this year, Warner said that he will not play Test cricket again. He said, “At my age, it’s very difficult to play three formats of cricket simultaneously. I love playing T20, I will continue to play this format. I will try to prepare myself for the 2024 World Cup. There is a 50-over World Cup next year. If my fitness is good, I want to play there. Now I will see how much the body can take and how much I can play Test cricket. I will think about it throughout this summer. I will decide whether I can continue with the three editions including Test cricket or not.”

Warner recently talked about his future career. He gave a glimpse of farewell there too. However, he is keeping the 2024 World Cup in mind. Warner also said, “Everything has an end. It is a great pride to represent the country in the national jersey. This is probably going to be my last year in international career. Although I love T20 cricket. So, I am also eyeing the T20 World Cup 2024. It would be great to end my career with a win. But first there is the matter of getting a place in the team. I will try my best to keep myself fit.”

Warner made his international debut in 2009 T20 against South Africa. After 9 years in 2018, he was convicted of ball tampering in a match against South Africa. He was banned from cricket for two years. He was also banned from leadership for life. However, a few days ago Cricket Australia changed the rules to give him a chance to lead. However, Warner later stated that he no longer wished to lead.

Notably, David Warner is the only cricketer in Australia’s 132-year history of cricket who got the opportunity to play in the national team without any first-class cricket experience. His international runs are more than 17 thousand including 8132 runs in test cricket. And in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Warner’s devastating performance helped Australia to win the title in the shortest format of cricket for the first time.
