Vijay thanked his team, teammates, coaches, management and those concerned in the international arena at the time of farewell.

Announcing his retirement, Vijay said, “I would like to inform you that today I am officially retiring from international cricket. My gratitude and thanks to everyone involved in a long career. This journey in international cricket has been very exciting for me. It has been my dream to play for India. It’s an honour to be able to represent on the stage. I couldn’t have come this far without the support of those who have been by my side on this cricketing journey.”

Talking about his future plans, Vijay also said, “Since I will not be playing international cricket anymore, it is very stress-free. Now I can work on new aspects of cricket and business. Everyone will pray for me.”

Ravindra Jadeja last played international cricket in August last year. While playing in the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, the Indian all-rounder suffered an injury. He could not play the entire Asia Cup due to injury. He also missed the T20 World Cup. He later had to undergo surgery for that knee injury. Due to this, he had to stay out of the field for a long time. Jadeja is now recovering from that injury and waiting to return to the field.

Jadeja has already started training. But being out of the field for about six months, the discomfort did not go away. That is why, after recovering from injury, the star all-rounder is focusing on fitness first. He is also using a GPS tracker during batting and bowling practice. Jadeja has now decided to play in the Ranji Trophy as well, to boost himself. Jadeja hopes he can return to 22 yards of the field soon.

Jadeja also spoke to the media about his goals after returning from injury. In an interview, the Indian all-rounder said, “It’s good to be back on the field after a long time. It will be good for me as well as for the team. My first goal after recovery is to get 100% fit. After that, I will focus on batting and bowling. For now, my main goal is to increase my fitness as soon as possible. Then I want to play cricket with my heart. I want to give my hundred for the team, for the country.”

Jadeja also spoke about his confidence after returning from injury. However, he is not looking at the option of playing matches to increase his confidence. Jadeja also said, “Injuries are part of the game. But this injury bothered me a lot. I didn’t play the whole Asia Cup, I missed the T20 World Cup. In the good times of my career, nobody wants to get injured, I was in great form. But with the injury, everything went wrong. Of course, I’m taking it naturally. Now looking forward to getting back on the field. The confidence may be low in the beginning, but after playing a few matches maybe the pace will pick up, find the rhythm.”

Jadeja is waiting to return to international cricket with that series at home. The Indian team is also waiting for the return of the star all-rounder. Ponting wants Pant in the dugout even if he can’t play

Last December, Rishabh Pant suddenly suffered a car accident. Due to which this wicketkeeper explosive batsman who is seriously injured, may has to be out of the field almost the whole time this year. As such, the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will also be missed. However, even if Pant is not able to play, the head coach of the team, Ricky Ponting, wants him in the dugout of Delhi Capitals. He also praised Pant.

In a recent interview with the ICC, Ponting expressed hope for Pant’s speedy recovery. At the time, the former Australian captain said, “I like Pant’s play a lot. I contacted him after the accident. He went through a tough time. Everyone feels bad for him. I hope to see him back on the field very soon.”

Ponting praised Pant in the interview. Cricketers like Pant are not made easily, this legend believes. However, Delhi will have to play under an alternate captain. How much his absence can affect the team is clear in Ponting’s words. This Aussie coach said that Pant can do the work of keeping the team in the same formula by leading.

Meanwhile, Pant is on the way to being discharged from the hospital. Recently, this Indian batter informed about his physical condition in a tweet message. In that message, thanked and appreciated all those who stood by him during the difficult times. The left-handed wicketkeeper also gave hope to his fans and supporters about his comeback. He said that he will start the process of returning to the field after recovering and will try to return to the field as soon as possible.

There is still plenty of time left in the IPL. It remains to be seen how much Pant will recover at that time. But will the Delhi captain be in the dugout even if he recovers? That question will be answered when the IPL starts. Pant can stay in the dugout if possible because the coach wants him above all else. And in that, the team will be benefited, the Path can also be returned in the cricketing atmosphere. Of course, everything depends on Pant’s recovery.

Archer opens up about his fitness

Jofra Archer last played international cricket in 2021. After the T20 series against India in March of that year, this pacer did not enter the field again. There is only one reason for this, the elbow injury. Due to this Archer is unable to play for more than one and a half years. This time, however, he is waiting to return to the field. This English pacer himself informed me about his fitness.

Archer also underwent surgery to recover from the elbow injury. After recovering from there, he is likely to return to the field in December. Although played for Elber Sussex in the middle, he was injured again. After that returned with SAT20, South Africa’s franchise-based T20 league. This time, Archer said that he will return to England’s jersey.

Of course, Archer doesn’t want to think about the time he was out of the field. Rather, he wants to paint the stage of return. In an interview, the English pacer said, “There is no chance to look back at the time that has passed. I was out of the field for a long time. Now it is good to be back. It is important to perform now. I am 80 per cent fit now. Now just to get back into the rhythm of the field. I look forward to it.”

Returning to the field after an injury is naturally expected to lack confidence. But Archer said otherwise. If he is fit, everything will come in his favour, he said. Archer added, “I believe that once I get 100% fit, nothing can stop me. Just get the rhythm back. Then we’ll see. Hopefully, the fitness will be better soon.”

Meanwhile, England is waiting like a pilgrim for Archer’s return. Because this year the ODI World Cup will be held in India. With Archer’s presence in the event, the reigning world champions will look to field a full-strength team. However, Archer missed two T20 World Cups for England earlier. In one of which England clinched the title.

Ishan can be Pant’s substitute in Tests: Azharuddin

Rishabh Pant is a regular member of the Indian Test team. He has left an impression of consistency as a wicket-keeper batsman. But a sudden road accident happened last December. Due to this, he was knocked out of the field for a long time. Instead, KS Bharat has been included in the team for the Test series against Australia. But former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin thinks differently! Azharuddin thinks that Ishan Kishan can be a worthy substitute for Pant in Tests.

The former Indian star even demanded to give a chance with the young wicket-keeper batsman in the upcoming series. Ishan has already played ODIs and T20Is in India’s jersey. After doing well in the domestic league, he is waiting to prove himself in white clothes. However, Azharuddin feels that if Ishan is given a chance, he can be a long-race horse.

This batsman has been in good form in recent times. That is why Azharuddin suggested he play in Pant’s absence. In this regard, the former Indian captain said, “Ishan has been in very good form recently. He should be given a chance in the Test team now. He is a left-handed wicket-keeper batsman. Now as Pant isn’t available, Ishan can be the best option for the Indian team. I hope he gets a chance on the team. Can contribute to the Indian jersey.”

However, the selectors of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) have also called Ishan to the team in the Border – Gavaskar series. However, there are strong rumours that the hosts will play KS Bharat in the first two Tests of that series against Australia. But if they listen to Azharuddin’s advice, Ishan can also get a chance in the XI. But in the end, who is the alternative to Path? That will have to wait and see.

It should be noted that Ishan has played 10 ODIs in India’s jersey so far, scoring a total of 477 runs at an average of 50. His bat is also very effective in T20. Scored 629 runs in 24 matches. Where his batting average is 27. Ranji Trophy proved that he has maturity in the longer version as well. Ishan scored a century against Kerala last month. His runs in a first-class career of 48 matches is 2985 at an average of  39.
