Bangladesh also wants foreign coaches as an assistant

Hathurusingha, the former coach of Team Bangladesh, is going to start the second chapter in the coaching of the Bangladesh national team. If everything goes well, he will set foot in Dhaka within the next 20 days. Once again he will coach Shakib – Tamim. Many of the 22-yard Tigers on the field are optimistic about him. One of them is Tiger pacer, Taskin Ahmed. Taskin is thrilled with Hathurusingha’s return again. This speed star of Team Bangladesh thinks that the Bangladesh team will be stronger during Hathurusingha’s tenure.

Speaking to the media recently, Taskin said, “Hathurusingha coached us earlier. The same old coach is coming back to coach us, I’m really excited. I’m quite enthusiastic about him. Hathurusingha is a very good coach. We’re going to enjoy his coaching again. It’s great. It’s going to be great for us to be coached by a quality coach like him. I’m sure we’ll have a good journey with him. Hope our team will be successful under his coaching and Bangladesh will be a stronger team inshallah.”

Taskin added, “He interacted with everyone, including me. He talked to all of us. He also plans how to work in the future. And he shared it with us. Talking to him about what the bowlers should do or what the batters should do. He was explaining. He has not come to Dhaka yet. He will come and meet again, then I will understand the details of the meeting. I am sure there is a lot of difference between the pacers of that time and the pacers of today. As the pacers of today are more consistent, it will be a plus point. I hope everyone will do well. We will try our best.”

Meanwhile, England is coming to visit Bangladesh this month. Taskin has already started his preparation. And in response to the question of how Bangladesh will fight with England, Taskin also said, “Bangladesh’s fight with England will definitely not be easy. They are a very big team. They have prowess in all three formats of cricket. But we are not bad at home either. We are one of the strongest teams here. So, there will be a fight. I believe we will give our best. Hope something good will happen.”

It should be noted that Bangladesh played in the quarter-final of the World Cup in 2015 during the first chapter of Hathurusingha’s coaching. Also played in the semi-final of the 2017 Champions Trophy. This year also there is ODI world cup. And before that, Hathuru is coming in charge. Now let’s see how the Tigers perform in the upcoming World Cup under the touch of the old coach.

DRS from the BPL playoffs

DRS from the BPL playoffs

There is no end to the controversies since the beginning of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). There have been deficiencies in various aspects on and off the field. The thing that has been missing the most is Decision Review System (DRS). Due to the lack of modern technology, it is difficult to manage the game properly. Due to this many incidents of wrong decisions by umpires have happened. Controversy about these has not diminished. Finally, DRS is added towards the end of the tournament.

There are only four matches left in the BPL. Eliminators, two qualifiers and the final. DRS arrangements for these matches are arranged by the BPL Governing Council. The technicians of DRS operator Haq Eye have already arrived in Bangladesh. As a result, it is said that there is no more obstacle to using DRS technology in the last four of BPL.

With the inclusion of DRS, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is finally getting some relief from criticism. But even if the technical problem is solved, BPL is facing a different problem. Pakistani cricketers have returned to their country from BPL. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ordered Mohammad Rizwan to return home to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). As a result, BPL has lost a lot of colour because of the departure of Pakistani star cricketers.

Meanwhile, even though the Pakistanis have left, the teams are bringing in stars from other countries. Already, T20 experts like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine have come. This T20 league is getting its life again with the arrival of foreigners at the end. Rangpur Riders, Comilla Victorians, Fortune Barisal and Sylhet Strikers have reached the last four of BPL. Now, these four teams will fight for the title in 22 yards of the field.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board is paying a huge amount to use DRS in BPL. 16 thousand USD per match. In Bangladesh currency is like 16 lakh taka. According to that, for the four matches of the playoffs, the expenditure from the pocket of the governing council is like 65 lakh rupees. By not having DRS throughout the tournament, the authorities have saved a huge amount of money. In the end, they are spending some money. Let’s see if the use of DRS reduces controversial decisions in umpiring.

Jadeja’s majestic return from injury

Jadeja’s majestic return from injury

Jadeja’s majestic return from injury

Ravindra Jadeja is an important member of the Indian team in all three formats. Effective off spin along with his attacking batting in the lower middle order, regularly contributes to the team’s victories. The loss of Jadeja due to injury was a big loss for the Indian team. India did not get him for the last five months due to injury. He was out of the field due to an injury. However, by returning to the team with a majestic performance, Jadeja sent a message to the cricket world that he is coming back stronger than before.

Before the start of the series, it is known that Jadeja will return to the field in the Border – Gavaskar trophy. That’s it. The experienced all-rounder got a place in the XI of the first Test in Nagpur. And he fought in the return match. He took five wickets against Australia. He played a big role in keeping the Aussie team short. Also, Jadeja has taken all the light of the start in Nagpur. Since then, this spinner of Team India has been praised.

Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. However, according to the wicket, that decision of Cummins is considered correct. But when he came to test on the soil of the subcontinent, The Australian team fell into trouble. The question came from outside the syllabus. They are blue because of Jadeja’s spin. As many as five Aussie batsmen have given away wickets to him.

Jadeja single-handedly destroyed the middle order in Australia’s batting lineup. In his first over, Marnus made a fool of Labuschagne by stamping. He then picked up the wickets of Steven Smith, Matt Renshaw and Peter Handscomb one by one. Smith was caught, and Jadeja trapped the other two batsmen. In the end, he also hunted Murphy. In the end, Australia bowled out Jadeja’s spin Velki for just 177 runs in the first innings.

Note that Jadeja injured his knee during the Asia Cup in 2022. He had to undergo surgery to recover from that injury. It took about five months to recover. Meanwhile, the star all-rounder also missed the T20 World Cup. A few days ago, Jadeja made a splash with the Ranji Trophy match. This time he returned to the national team in a familiar form. Dealing with Jadeja is a big challenge for Australia now.

That’s why Gayle didn’t get a double century in T20

If we were to list the most prolific batsmen in the history of T20 cricket, Chris Gayle’s name would be on top. His pair are good at scoring quick runs, hitting big sixes or playing long innings. But at the end of the day, Gayle also has regrets. The regret of not being able to play a double-century inning in T20 cricket still burns ‘The Universal Boss’.

Gayle also got a chance to score a double century. But that was almost a decade ago when he came very close to a double century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 2013, for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gayle played an unbeaten inning of 175 runs against Pune Warriors. Gayle said that the reason for not being able to score a double century that day was to give batting to teammate AB de Villiers.

Gayle claimed that if Villiers had not batted in that match, he could have scored 215 runs himself. The Caribbean star recently said about the events of that day, “Villiers came in to bat at the end. He might have scored 30 runs from 8 balls. If he hadn’t been batted, I would have scored 215 that day. But then he was batting brilliantly. There was no way not to bat him. That’s why I missed my double century.”

A big six from Gayle in that match broke the nose of a spectator in the gallery. The visitor was taken to the hospital bleeding. Later, however, Gail went to see him. The Caribbean star said of the incident, “When I went to see him (the spectator with a broken nose) in the hospital, he didn’t show any regret. Instead, he told me to hit more big sixes. There was still blood on his shirt.”

However, the case of a broken nose does not end here. The audience became more attracted to Gayle in that incident. Everyone is madly in love with Gayle’s attacking batting. Or as it happens, in the very next match, many spectators write on placards, “Blow my nose with a six.” There is a reason for the frenzy of the spectators. When Gayle visits them in the hospital, they meet their favourite cricketer.
