Malika appointed as auctioneer of Women’s IPL

Indian Premier League IPL is very popular around the world. The franchise league is the first choice of the star cricketers of any country. Starting from 2008, this league is still maintaining its popularity. This year for the first time the BCCI is going to launch a women’s IPL. It is also called Women’s IPL as it is played on the pattern of Men’s IPL. This time there is also a woman in charge of the auctioneer of this women’s IPL. A woman named Malika Advani has been given this responsibility.

Since then, the question has been circulating in the cricket neighborhood, who is Malika? How is her connection with cricket? Malika Advani is a consultant at Modern Contemporary Indian Art and Partner Company. It is basically a Mumbai based art collector company. And this company’s consultant is the auctioneer of women’s IPL this time.

BCCI has already informed about the women’s IPL team formation. According to them, “Women’s IPL franchises have been told about the team formation. They can have a certain number of cricketers. The franchises can have a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 18 players in the team. They can spend at least 9 crore rupees in the auction. The number of foreign cricketers is also fixed. The maximum number of foreign cricketers can be kept is 6.”

409 cricketers participated in this year’s auction. There Were 246 domestic cricketers and 163 foreign cricketers. Again, out of these 163 foreign cricketers, 8 cricketers are from allied countries. There has already been a response among women cricketers based on the auction. There are nine cricketers in the auction list from Bangladesh. It is being said that the women’s IPL will make women cricketers rich by increasing their income.

Meanwhile, the auction of broadcasting rights of the Women’s Premier League was held some time ago. India’s Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd has got the rights to broadcast the women’s IPL for five years (2023-2027). And for this the Indian Cricket Board got 951 crore rupees. BCCI also congratulated Viacom 18. And this deal is considered huge. Many believe that this will take women’s cricket further in the future.

BCB has created a new history by punishing Sujan. There is no precedent of punishing any board director before this. Although the former cricketer has accepted the punishment of the board. He said that he accidentally smoked during the excitement of the match. Khulna’s coach apologizes to everyone for his mistake. Sujan also promised not to repeat such incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, on the day Sujan was punished, BCB punished three more cricketers. They are – Mosaddek Hossain Saikat of Comilla Victorians, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan of Rangpur Riders and Nicholas Pooran.
