  • Australia has won its last six games in a row.
  • Australia beat India by 10 wickets in their most recent One-Day International at the Wankhede Stadium.
  • India has been in excellent form in one-day internationals, winning their previous eight home matches in a row.

India vs Australia Team Preview

India

India is a highly powerful team at home in all formats, but especially in ODIs. As they prepare for the World Cup later this year, they will head into this first match in the series looking to go up 1-0.

With the 2023 World Cup less than seven months ahead, we anticipate India to continue to take this format seriously. They have chosen a very strong group, albeit skipper Rohit Sharma will miss the first match, which will be led by Hardik Pandya.

Australia

Australia will have gained a lot of confidence from their performance, which included winning one of the final two Tests on this tour. They have some extremely good ODI players who have played in these conditions before.

With captain Pat Cummins still in Australia owing to a family loss, Steve Smith, who led the squad in the last two Tests, will captain the team again in this series. There are no injuries among the squad members ahead of the opening ODI at Wankhede Stadium.

Australia tour of India 2023 Cricket Prediction | 1st ODI: India vs Australia Wankhede Stadium Mumbai

We predict that both captains will elect to field first if their teams win the toss before this game since the team batting second has won four of the last five ODIs at this stadium.

The weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies throughout the contest, with cloudless skies in the evening. The temperature will not fall below 29 degrees Fahrenheit.

There are always lots of runs available at this facility, and we anticipate a par score of 300 or above. The pitch will be a little faster than we’ve seen in the recent Test series.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka at a glance

  • New Zealand also won the last 5 matches at Basin Reserves, so they’ll be confident.
  • Darryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson of New Zealand both scored hundreds in their last game and are both in fantastic form.
  • Sri Lanka has so far not won a Test match in New Zealand since 2006, and this bad record weighs heavily on the players.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka Team Preview

New Zealand

The hosts have been part of two of the most interesting and closest Tests in history in the last 2 weeks and will be prepared to win from every position in this encounter. Neil Wagner had a back injury in the first Test and will miss the second.

After losing seven consecutive Tests, New Zealand is looking for their third consecutive triumph in this series. Daryl Mitchell maintained his strong form at Christchurch, scoring 102 and 81. Scott Kuggeleijn is expected to replace Neil Wagner in the starting lineup.

Sri Lanka

The setback earlier this week means that Sri Lanka will no longer have the opportunity to compete in the World Test Championships Final at The Oval in June. They will be happy at how close they came to winning the First Test.

Sri Lanka has now lost three of their past five matches, as well as two of their previous three Tests. Angelo Mathews delivered as expected in the First Test, and he deserves to be on a winning streak after reaching 115 in the second innings and 47 in the first. With seven wickets, Fernando was the standout performer, and he will be a serious threat again in this encounter.

Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand 2023 Cricket Prediction | 2nd Test: New Zealand vs Sri Lanka Basin Reserve Wellington

Bowling first has won four of the last five Test matches played at this venue. On the first two days, the surface is juicy, and batting conditions improve as the game proceeds. The team that wins the toss will seek to capitalize on the circumstances by bowling first.

In Wellington, there will be a thick cloud cover, and rain is possible on the first three days of the game. The surface will be active, and quick bowlers will appreciate the opportunity to bowl in the clouds.

The game will take place in Wellington’s Basin Reserve. We anticipate another green pitch that will provide enough help to seam and swing bowlers.

Lahore Qalandars vs Multan Sultans (Qualifier) – Highlights

All-rounder Kieron Pollard’s brilliant performance helped Multan Sultans to get a massive 84-run win over Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 2023 qualifier at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Along with that, they’ve confirmed the final as the first team of the tournament.

Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to bat first, which propelled Lahore Qalandars to bowl. Multan Sultans collected a fighting total of 160 runs after losing 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. In reply, Lahore Qalandars was bowled out scoring just 76 runs in 14.3 overs.

The two openers of Multan Sultans, Usman Khan, and Rizwan started well for the team after coming down to bat. In 6 overs of power play, these two together collected 46 runs. But in the 8th over, Usman (29 from 28 balls) returned to the dressing room for the team’s 53 runs.

Then Rilee Rossouw entered the field to bat at one-down. However, he did not perform well in this match. Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard came to the wicket after Rossouw departed after scoring only 13 runs off 12 balls. But leader Rizwan could not accompany him for long. He got out scoring 33 runs off 29 balls.

When Rizwan got out, the team’s score was 90 for the loss of 3 wickets after 13 overs. From there, Pollard and Tim David continued to lead the team toward setting a strong target for the opponents. Multan Sultans were able to score 70 runs in the last 7 overs thanks to the stormy batting of these two.

Pollard and David put up a working partnership of 65 runs off 38 balls for the 4th wicket. Pollard returned to the pavilion after playing a devastating innings of 57 runs off 34 balls, with 1 four and 6 sixes. On the other hand, David remained unbeaten with 22 runs off 15 balls. Where there were equal numbers of fours and sixes each.

Haris Rauf took the highest number of 3 wickets for Lahore Qalandars with 34 runs in 4 overs. Besides, Rashid Khan and Zaman Khan took 1 wicket each.

Chasing a challenging target of 161 runs, the Lahore Qalandars batsmen were initially disoriented by the collected bowling efforts of the Multan Sultans bowlers. They lost three wickets after scoring 19 runs in 4 overs. Pacer Sheldon Cottrell gave the team the first breakthrough by sending off opener Mirza Tahir Baig (8) in the 2nd ball of the 3rd over of the innings.

Cottrell sent the new batsman Abdullah Shafique to the pavilion on the 4th ball. Cottrell took two wickets in the space of three balls and put Lahore Qalandars in danger. Then Fakhar Zaman (6) made his way back in the 4th over and captain Shaheen Afridi (0) got out in the fifth over, the score of the team stood at 4/28 at the end of 5 overs as a result of that.

The batters of Lahore Qalandars could not overcome that pressure. They continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. As a result, no other batsman could score three-digit scores for the team except Sam Billings (19), David Wiese (12), and Haris Rauf (15).

In the end, Lahore Qalandars’ innings ended after scoring 76 runs in 14.3 overs. All bowlers have scalped wickets for Multan Sultans. Sheldon Cottrell snapped up the highest number of 3 wickets. Besides, Usama Mir took 2 wickets and Abbas Afridi, Kieron Pollard, Ihsanullah, and Anwar Ali took 1 wicket each.

However, even though Lahore Qalandars lost this match, the hopes of the finals are still not over. They will face the winner of Eliminator 1 in Eliminator 2 on March 17. Where the winning team will face Multan Sultans in the final match on March 19 to compete for the title.

  • In head-to-head games this season, both teams have a record of 1-1 wins and losses.

Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi Team Preview

Islamabad United

Islamabad United’s roster has a ton of depth, but we anticipate that they will play their strongest Eleven in this game. They will be incredibly challenging to defeat if they perform at their peak.

Before their last group stage encounter against Peshawar Zalmi, Mubasir Khan was replaced by Hassan Nawaz, making one change to the lineup. Rahmanullah Gurbaz assumed the position of wicketkeeper but fell in the batting order.

Peshawar Zalmi

Without several of their star players, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United in a crucial victory last weekend. They will be very confident going into this playoff game.

Prior to their final group stage match against Islamabad United on Sunday, Peshawar Zalmi made six changes. Due to illness, Tom Kohler-Cadmore took over as captain in place of Babar Azam. Azam is anticipated to return for this important game, though.

PSL 2023 Cricket Prediction | Eliminator 1: Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi Gaddafi Stadium Lahore

Because no score can be regarded as safe on this wicket and because bowlers would find it difficult to bowl with the dew in the second innings, chasing is the best strategy.

During the game, we expect humid conditions and weather delays.

Lahore has a good batting wicket, therefore it wouldn’t be surprising to see both teams get over 200 runs.

  • At Buffalo Park in East London, South Africa has a stellar record and hasn’t suffered a loss since 1999.

South Africa vs West Indies Team Preview

South Africa

Even though several of their greatest players won’t be available for this game, South Africa will still be able to field a formidable team. It needs to be seen if it will be effective enough to defeat West Indies.

The hosts have made the unprecedented decision to release separate lineups for the first two ODIs and the series finale. Moreover, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, both speed bowlers, have been given the entire series off. Temba Bavuma will continue to captain the team in this format despite recently relinquishing the IT20 captaincy.

West Indies

West Indies have struggled in this format for a long time but have many quality white ball players. They might have an excellent chance to start the series off on the right foot with a victory in this game.

For the West Indies, who have Shai Hope as their ODI skipper in place of Nicholas Pooran, this game marks the beginning of a brand-new era. Yet, they still have a lot of seasoned players on the roster, including Jason Holder and Roston Chase.

At the toss, the weather will be a deciding factor. In the initial overs, the wicket will feature a lot of bounce and pace. The team that wins the toss will attempt to take advantage of the circumstances and won’t think twice about bowling first.

In East London, there will be a lot of clouds, and it might rain during the game.

Although the wicket is level, bowlers will have some help on it. In this match, the team batting first will try to reach a total of 280 runs.
