Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals at a Glance

  • Chennai’s top order appears to be in fine form, while the spinners have also developed a pattern.
  • RR, last year’s runners-up, had a potent batting lineup with a plethora of big-hitting players.
  • The knowledge of Boult, Ashwin, and Chahal gives the Royals’ bowling unit a significant boost.

Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals Team Preview

Chennai Super Kings

Despite winning their last two games against Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings may be up against their toughest competition yet this season.

Ajinkya Rahane and Dwaine Pretorius replaced the injured Ben Stokes and the sick Moeen Ali in the Chennai Super Kings’ lineup for their victory over the Mumbai Indians, leaving no room for either English all-rounder. They aren’t expected to be out for very long, but it wouldn’t be shocking if they both missed again in this game.

Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals, who placed second last year, appear to be among the strongest teams this season. In this game, we believe they will be too powerful for Chennai.

Despite having a hand injury when he entered the previous game, Jos Buttler was able to bat freely before being replaced by impact sub-Murugan Ashwin while fielding. We anticipate that Buttler will participate in this match as well as the Rajasthan team won’t alter.

We believe that both teams would wish to field first in this match, despite the fact that Chennai Super Kings were given the opportunity to bat before winning the previous match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

There will be sunshine and a peak temperature of 34 degrees Celsius.

This is a great batting surface, and the most recent game played here had a total of 422 runs. In this game, both sides should score more than 200 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Lucknow Super Giants (Match 15) – Highlights

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants clash in the 15th match of the IPL at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Monday (April 10). Royal Challengers Bangalore set a huge target by batting first in that thrilling match. Later, chasing that target, Lucknow Super Giants won in the last ball of the last over. Along with that, Nicholas Pooran won the man of the match title with great batting.

IPL fans got to watch two stifling games back-to-back days. A huge goal of 205 runs was chased down the day before by Kolkata Knight Riders, who triumphed spectacularly with consecutive five sixes in Rinku Singh’s final over.

This time, the game between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants dominated the previous one. 213 runs were Lucknow’s set goal. In the second innings, Nicholas Pooran played a staggering 62 runs off 19 balls. With that, in the final ball, Lucknow prevailed by one wicket.

Bangalore was put into bat after Lucknow won the toss. The three star-studded batsmen of their top order, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell, completely destroyed the opposing team. Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 212 runs while losing only 2 wickets.

First, the opening duo of Kohli and Du Plessis conceded 96 runs off 69 balls. When Kohli came back to 61 with 4 four-sixes from 44 balls, this duo was broken. Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell then began their rampage. With just 50 balls, they scored a devastating partnership of 115 runs.

In that huge target, Maxwell scored a staggering 59 runs off only 29 balls, including 3 fours and 6 sixes. In the end, Maxwell remained unconquered. In addition, the Bangalore captain hit five four-sixes in his 46 balls-79 runs. With an additional 12 runs, they eventually fixed this enormous goal.

For Lucknow, Mark Wood and Amit Mishra both claimed one wicket.

In reply, Lucknow lost three wickets for 23 runs while chasing 213 runs in a thrilling game. Marcus Stoinis then performed standout innings, scoring 65 runs off 30 balls while hitting six fours and five sixes. The essential objective, doing the impossible, was then completed by Nicholas Pooran. Pooran took control of the game with 62-run innings off 19 balls that included 4 boundaries and 7 sixes.

But the last drama was ongoing. After the final ball of the 17th over, Pooran was declared out. In the final over, Lucknow needed 5 runs. Three wickets in hand. While Harshal Patel gave 4 runs off the first 5 deliveries, he took 2 wickets. At Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, there was complete quiet. Lucknow requires one run off one ball.

Bangalore may tie the game by taking the final wicket. As Ravi Vishnu of the non-strike moved to half the crease at that point, Harshal Patel suddenly noticed and went for mankading but he didn’t make it, that’s why Harshal threw the ball. But By then, Vishnu has entered the fray. But the ball wasn’t counted for some obvious reason.

Then in the last ball, Avesh Khan at the bowling end mishandled the delivery, which went to wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. But Karthik was unable to collect the ball and in the meantime, Avesh took that one run and Lucknow got the victory.

Mohammad Siraj and Wayne Parnell each captured three wickets for Bangalore. Karn Sharma and Harshal Patel each took one wicket in addition.
