Pakistan vs New Zealand (3rd ODI) – Highlights

Yesterday, Pakistan and New Zealand faced each other in the 3rd match of the five-match ODI series at the Pakistan National Stadium, Karachi. Batting first in that match, Pakistan set a challenging target to win the series. Later, New Zealand went down to chase that target before the allotted 50 overs were completed. As a result, Pakistan won the series with 2 matches in hand. At the same time, Imam-ul-Haq won the Man of the Match title by batting brilliantly for Pakistan.

Pakistan chased New Zealand’s two high scores to win the first two games. In the third game, they are unable to chase runs. Instead, they were forced to save their target. At Karachi National Stadium, Pakistan scored 287 runs while batting first after losing the toss and losing six wickets.

In the previous game, Fakhar Zaman scored an unbroken 180 runs, but he struggled to bat well in this one. But Imam-ul Haque, the opener, had a scorching bat. Another solid batter was Babar Azam. With the assistance of these two, Pakistan scored a respectable total.

It cost 19 runs to get Fakhar Zaman out. Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam then combined for a significant partnership of 108 runs. Through the use of three fours and one six, Babar Azam was out for 54 runs in 62 balls. Imam-ul-Haq played 107 balls before being bowled out for 90 runs. His innings of 90 runs had 7 fours and 1 six. Then for 19 runs, Abdullah Shafique was out.

In the middle order, Mohammad Rizwan scored 32 runs. But in 34 balls, he only hit 1 six. Agha Salman used three fours to score 31 runs in 29 balls. In addition, Shadab Khan remains unbeaten after playing a stormy innings of 21 runs off 10 balls. He also hit 1 four and 2 sixes. While Mohammad Nawaz was also unbeaten with 11 runs. They ultimately established a target of 288 runs, with an additional 10 runs.

For New Zealand, Matt Henry took 3 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs. Adam Milne claimed two wickets. Besides, Cole McConchie claimed one wicket.

Will Young and Tom Blundell, who were moved into the batting order with a target of 288 runs to win, performed admirably. They scored a pair of 83 runs. Will Young used three fours to score 33 runs off 41 balls. Tom Blundell scored 65 runs off 78 balls, using 7 boundaries in the process. However, despite playing well, both of New Zealand’s openers were run out.

Daryl Mitchell then played a 21-run, 24-ball inning. Tom Latham used 60 balls to score 45 runs. Cole McConchie, who batted in the late middle order, scored an unbeaten 64 off 45 balls with the aid of 6 fours and 2 sixes. However, despite these turbulent innings, the team was unable to avoid losing. The wickets that followed fell fast. They must therefore leave the field with a loss and two matches in hand.

Mumbai Indians (MI) started the season’s camp by losing the first two matches, but the team then turned around in a big way. MI defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 wickets in the 48th match of the season in Mohali.

Chasing the target of 215 runs given by the Kings on Wednesday (April 3), Rohit Sharma’s team reached the port of victory with 7 balls in hand. Ishan Kishan was elected player of the match after playing an impeccable innings of 75 runs in 41 balls hitting 7 fours and 4 sixes.

Coming down to chase the big target of 215 runs, MI lost Rohit’s wicket in the third ball. The captain returned to the dressing room without scoring any runs. For the second wicket, Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green continued to score runs for the team. Green got out after scoring 23 runs off 18 balls but Ishan was steadfast on the day. He made a partnership of 116 runs playing for 9.1 overs with Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket.

A Review of IPL Week 4

A Review of IPL Week 4

A Review of IPL Week 4

Thanks to a three-match winning streak in a span of eight days, the defending IPL champion Gujarat Titans have reclaimed first place in the current standings.

Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders were obstacles that Hardik Pandya’s team overcame to return to the top. Gujarat easily defeated KKR by seven wickets over the weekend thanks to a nearly flawless effort.

No team in Week 4 was able to match Gujarat’s form. Lucknow did manage to pull off a huge win, posting the second-highest IPL total of 257-5 in a victory over the Punjab Kings, which put them in second place after going 1-2 in their previous five games.

The Chennai Super Kings hit a snag and lost back-to-back games after an impressive run of three straight victories. Chennai lost to the Rajasthan Royals in a close game before losing to the Punjab Kings by four wickets over the weekend.

The Delhi Capitals, who were last in the standings, had managed back-to-back victories, but their weekend loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad knocked them off the top spot. Before Sunrisers’ triumph, both clubs had just four points for the season, making this a crucial battle at the bottom of the standings.

Big runs for Lucknow Super giants

A Review of IPL Week 4 Lucknow Super Giants

The Lucknow Super Giants scored a whopping 257 runs against the Punjab Kings in their innings, regaining their winning form. Despite captain KL Rahul being caught for 12 at the top of the order, their hitters were on target right away. Kyle Mayers and Marcus Stoinis, who both scored half-centuries, had significant contributions. The Punjab Kings were skittled out for 201 by LSG in defense of their score.

Catch made by Shaik Rasheed

Shaik Rasheed, a replacement in the Chennai Super Kings’ fielding lineup, made a spectacular catch to get out Punjab Kings batsman Jitesh Sharma. In the 19th over, from the bowling of Tushar Deshpande, Sharma attempted to smash the young fast bowler and lofted one high to the boundary. Rasheed caught the ball at long-on, but his forward motion propelled him into the boundary rope as he slipped. Rasheed was so close to the rope when the catch was made that the TV umpire had to intervene, but miraculously it held.

What is Patel going through?

Recently, speculation arose regarding Axar Patel’s place in the Delhi Capitals batting order. He was only brought up to bat in the Capitals’ basement match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which ended in a nine-run loss. Patel was given a 198-run target but, despite being in good form and enjoying playing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, he was unexpectedly placed down the order rather than going in early to attack the visitors.

Considering Week 5 of the IPL

Gujarat Titans vs. Lucknow Super Giants on May 7 is unquestionably one of Week 5’s most thrilling matchups. Between two of the stronger teams vying for the top spot on the table, this matchup should be a hard-hitting, suspenseful classic.

Gujarat has a busy week ahead of them, with games against the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, the latter of which will probably be a tough test for the Titans. Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan has been hitting the ball beautifully.

More upcoming games against Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Chennai Super Kings will feature Lucknow’s potent batting lineup, which includes Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The game between the struggling Sunrisers and the Kolkata Knight Riders is some exciting midweek action to watch, and the mid-table match between the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians is also exciting.
