Pakistan vs New Zealand at a Glance

  • In the fourth T20I match played in Karachi, Pakistan had outstanding performances from Babar Azam, Usama Mir, and Salman Agha.
  • For New Zealand in the previous game, Tom Latham, Mark Chapman, and Matt Henry all delivered respectable efforts.
  • In the previous game, Pakistan defeated New Zealand with a convincing victory.

Pakistan vs New Zealand Team Preview

Pakistan

By making changes to their team and still winning the game on Friday, Pakistan demonstrated their strength in depth. They will be quite sure that they can win one more game to win the series.

Before the fourth ODI, the series had already been settled, thus Pakistan made adjustments, bringing back Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, and Shan Masood. For this series’ penultimate game, we anticipate that those three players will be chosen once more.

New Zealand

Although they have been able to compete in games, New Zealand hasn’t been able to really put Pakistan under pressure player by player. To win this game, they must all perform at their highest level.

In the fourth ODI, Tom Blundell took over wicket-keeping responsibilities from Captain Tom Latham and switched places with Chad Bowes at the top of the order. Both Ben Lister and Blair Tickner returned to the team, and we anticipate that both of them will be picked again on Sunday.

Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants at a Glance

  • On Friday night, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya scored 39 runs off just 15 balls, remaining unbeaten. He is our pick to score the most runs for Gujarat Titans in this game.
  • We predict left-handed opener Kyle Mayers, who has scored more than 300 runs in the competition, will lead the Lucknow Super Giants in runs against the Gujarat Titans.
  • One of the top T20 spinners in the world for a long time, Rashid Khan has been especially reliable in recent matches. In this match, we anticipate seeing him grab at least two wickets.

Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants Team Preview

Gujarat Titans

When Gujarat Titans trounced high-flying Rajasthan Royals on Friday, they were able to quickly put their shocking loss to Delhi Capitals behind them. At this point, they are confident that they can defeat any opposition.

Gujarat Titans did not panic despite their expectedly poor loss to Delhi Capitals earlier in the week and kept the same starting lineup for Friday’s top-four match against Rajasthan Royals. Josh Little won’t be able to attend the final group stage matches because of Ireland’s upcoming series against Bangladesh, which starts on Tuesday.

Lucknow Super Giants

After a dismal batting performance against Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants were fortunate to exit the match with no results. To trouble the Gujarat Titans in this game, they must perform at their highest level.

Since their last game on Wednesday against Chennai Super Kings, which ended in a no-result, it has been made known that captain KL Rahul would not participate in the competition any further after limping off the field against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In Rahul’s absence, Krunal Pandya will continue to lead the team.

IPL 2023 Cricket Prediction | Match 51: Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants Narendra Modi Stadium

We anticipate that both sides will choose to bowl first in this match, despite the fact that there is just a slim 53.5% to 46.5% divide in favor of teams batting second at this location.

On Sunday afternoon, the humidity won’t rise above 25%, but it will be extremely hot the entire time, with a high of 38 degrees.

Narendra Modi Stadium’s greatest winning chasing score is 182-5, thus we predict both sides will reach scores of 160 or higher. Throughout the entire game, the wicket will turn.

Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans (Match 48) – Highlights

The innings of Rajasthan Royals (RR) was narrowly ended by the brilliant bowling performances of two Afghan spinners Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad of Gujarat Titans (GT). After winning the toss and batting first on Friday (May 5), the Royals were able to score only 118 runs after losing all wickets in 17.5 overs. In reply, Titans reached the port of victory after losing only 1 wicket in 13.5 overs.

GT’s two openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha have made the task of chasing runs easy. RR was knocked out of the match when these two added 71 runs on the opening pair. As there was no rush to get runs, Gill played his innings in ODI style. But Wriddhiman was as aggressive as ever. When Gill got out for 36 runs from 35 balls, the pressure of the run chase could not touch the GT’s squad due to the aggression of Saha.

On the other hand, skipper Hardik Pandya came to the crease and started his explosive batting to bring the match within GT’s reach quickly. An unbeaten innings of 39 runs from 15 balls came from his bat. Where there were equal numbers of 3 fours and sixes. Among them, the GT skipper took 24 runs in one over smashing 3 sixes and 1 four. Wriddhiman scored an unbeaten 41 off 34 balls courtesy of 5 fours.

Chasing an easy target courtesy of them, GT reached the brink of victory with 9 wickets and 37 balls in hand. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took that one wicket for RR. Earlier, the Royals defeated the Titans in Ahmedabad. However, Sanju Samson and Co. could not complete the fight with the bat in hand on their home ground. The fight between two of the best teams in the IPL was not as hard as it was thought to be in the first innings. The current runner-up Royals had a batting disaster at home due to the power of the bowlers of the current champions GT.

After winning the toss, Samson, the captain of the Royals, wanted to bat first on the home ground and give the opponent a big run target. But the failure of the batters has poured water on his thoughts. Apart from Samson, no batsman could perform well for the team. RR lost wickets continuously from the second over. Jos Buttler (8), Yashasvi Jaiswal (14), and Devdutt Padikkal (12) could not give the team confidence to bring up a fighting total.

The Royals’ plan to introduce Ravichandran Ashwin (2) as a pinch hitter was not successful. None of the subsequent batters could touch double-digit scores. Coming into the attack in the middle overs, two Afghan spinners Rashid and Noor did not give anyone a chance to take control of the match.

Samson’s innings of 30 off 20 balls to give the team hope at the beginning was not enough for the team. His innings was studded with 3 fours and 1 six. In the end, Trent Boult tried to bring the team to a fighting position with aggressive batting. He scored 15 runs off 11 balls. RR got a collection of 118 runs with his attempt and passed the hundred mark.

Rashid Khan bowled 4 overs for the Titans and snapped up 3 wickets at the cost of only 14 runs. He also won the Player of the Match award. Besides, Noor Ahmad took 2 wickets at the cost of 25 runs in 3 overs. Besides, Joshua Little, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami took one wicket each.

After winning this match, Gujarat Titans have climbed to the top of the standings with 14 points from 10 matches. On the other hand, with 10 points from 10 matches, Rajasthan Royals have now gone down to the 4th position in the points table.

Cricket Highlights, 5 May: Pakistan vs New Zealand (4th ODI)

Pakistan vs New Zealand (4th ODI) – Highlights

Yesterday, Pakistan and New Zealand faced off in the 4th match of the five-match ODI series at the Pakistan National Stadium, Karachi. Batting first in that match, Pakistan set a huge target to whitewash New Zealand. Later, New Zealand lost after going down to chase that target as the allotted 50 overs were completed. As a result, New Zealand lost 4 consecutive matches in this series. At the same time, Babar Azam won the man of the match title by batting brilliantly for Pakistan.

In the cricketing history of Pakistan, such a day has never occurred. They have never previously held the top spot in the ODI rankings. Finally, Babar Azam’s hands helped Pakistan make history. The unpredictables are now seated atop the rankings for the first time after defeating New Zealand by a large margin of 102 runs in the fourth one-day international of the series. After Australia-India, Pakistan is the best ODI team at the moment.

In addition, Babar Azmar entered the world record without having his bat laid on the wicket. With a personal-best 19 runs, he achieved a new record. By beating Hashim Amla, the Pakistani captain has completed the fastest 5000-run milestone in ODI cricket.

But is Babar happy with what he has? This batting sensation broke the world record match with a century. In the fourth ODI of the series, Pakistan amassed a massive 334 for 6 against New Zealand, building on his century in Karachi.

The Kiwis were unable to significantly advantage themselves after winning the toss and choosing to put Pakistan into bat. However, the fearsome Fakhar Zaman came back and scored 14 runs. Shan Masood, another opener, too batted for close to fifty runs before being dismissed (44). After setting with the bat Mohammad Rizwan (24) fell victim to the runout trap.

Together with Agha Salman, Babar added 117 runs in a 100-ball partnership for the fourth wicket. With him, Iftikhar Ahmed then added 41 points in 35 balls. With four boundaries and two sixes off of 46 balls, Salman was dismissed for 58. Iftikhar scored 28 points from 22 balls before getting out.

But in claiming the century, Babar did not err. The 107 runs the Pakistani skipper scored throughout his 117-ball innings came from the 10 boundaries he hit. He has now reached his 18th ODI century. In its last five overs, Pakistan tallied 70 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi scored 1 four and 3 sixes off 7 balls for 23-run innings, while Mohammad Haris scored 17 off 8 balls.

Matt Henry, a Kiwi pacer, claimed three victims for 65 runs. Ben and Ish Sodhi also each took a wicket.

In the 2nd innings, 335 runs was a lofty goal for the Kiwis. That’s why, New Zealand was outscored by Pakistan’s run mountain and bowled out for 232 runs in 43.4 overs. Tom Latham led the team in runs scored with 60 runs. Daryl Mitchell scored 34 runs off 48 balls, Tom Blundell scored 23 runs off 29 balls, and Mark Chapman scored 46 runs off 33 balls.

After that, for a time, the run pursuit was going well for the Kiwis. Their run was 184 for 3 wickets after 33 overs. The visitors then lost the final 7 wickets, adding another 48 runs. In the end, they left field with a loss of a huge margin.

Usama Mir, a legspinner, got 4 wickets by himself, costing the team 43 runs. Haris Rauf grabbed two wickets for 37 runs, and pacer Wasim Khan took three for 40 runs. One wicket was also taken by Shaheen Afridi.

  • CSK has lost two of their first four home games.
  • While Mumbai’s batting performance is steady, their bowling troubles persist.

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians Team Preview

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings have not been in great form in terms of results, but they still have players who are giving it their all. But in this match, the Mumbai Indians will be a formidable foe.

After limiting Lucknow Super Giants to 125-7 from 19.2 overs, Chennai Super Kings were frustrated since they were unable to finish the mission because of the rain. The starting lineup for this matchup is expected to remain the same, but their hitters will be rested.

Mumbai Indians

With six wickets and seven balls remaining in a high-scoring game on Wednesday, Mumbai Indians prevailed. They are in the perfect position in the campaign to rediscover their form.

Before beating Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians had to make one adjustment due to Riley Meredith’s injury. It was more crucial that Jofra Archer could play back-to-back games without suffering any injuries.

IPL 2023 Cricket Prediction | Match 49: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians     MA Chidambaram Stadium

We believe that both captains will choose to field first before this game because the team batting second has won the last two matches at this stadium.

There would be occasional thunderstorms and a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius on the day of the game.

It’s a wicket that is suitable for batting and that spinner can also benefit from it. While it has been enjoyable to bat on this track most of the time, there have also been a few low-scoring games.
