Delhi Capitals took on Chennai Super Kings at home in the 67th match of the IPL on Saturday (May 20). Batting first in that match, Chennai Super Kings set a huge target in the allotted 20 overs. In 7 balls, Prithvi Shaw scored 5 runs. Phillip Salt, the wicketkeeper, only managed 3 runs from 6 balls. Only 7 runs were scored by Aman Hakeem Khan in 9 balls. Rilee Rossouw, Chetan Sakaria, Kuldeep Yadav, and Anrich Nortje were the other four players who were dismissed for 0 runs.
For Chennai, Deepak Chahar took the maximum of three wickets at a cost of 22 runs. Both Mathisha Pathirana and Maheesh Thikshana claimed two wickets.
After this game, Chennai was officially confirmed as the second team in the playoffs, behind Gujarat Titans. Chennai now has 17 points after 14 games. After 14 games, Delhi has accumulated only 10 points.
