Cricket Prediction West Indies vs England 1st T20I Dec 13 – Will the host WI win against the mighty ENG in the T20I series

WI vs ENG Match Analysis

Team West Indies will turn their attention to a considerably more difficult test after their recent win over England in a different format. In their backyard, they will face the current T20 world champions.

The Englishmen didn’t play like world champions and lost their championship in a shambolic performance at the showpiece competition, and they’ll be hoping to avoid a similar fate in the shorter format ahead of the T20 World Cup next June. This isn’t simply another bilateral series between the two teams. It will be a mini trial for the World Cup, with both sides hoping to get a feel for the circumstances and figure out who their strongest XI will be.

The West Indies have assembled a very strong squad for this series, while England retains the same core group of players from last year’s T20 final against Pakistan in Melbourne, with senior members Ben Stokes and Chris Jordan missing out.

WI vs ENG Team Preview & Squads

West Indies

The West Indies will co-host the T20 World Cup next year, and there is no way they will not qualify. With their spot secured, their attention is on assembling a team of quality players capable of winning the event in front of their home fans.

Their team is in good hands with two-time World Cup-winning captain Darren Sammy as coach. They’ve assembled a team of T20 stars and world-class players, including Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Kyle Mayers, and Romario Shepherd. Andre Russell returns to the fold after a two-year absence for what could be his final shot at an international competition in West Indian colors.

Their audition begins with a five-game series against England, the reigning World Cup champions. squad England’s form may be mixed, but it’s a fantastic opportunity for West Indies players to put their skills to the test against a squad that has played a different type of T20 cricket for years.

After defeating England in the lengthier format, the men in maroon will take that confidence into T20s, a format that their current crop of West Indian players have made their own after much success at the domestic and international levels.

Rovman Powell (c), Shai Hope (wk), Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Roston Chase, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, and Matthew Forde.

England

Team England can breathe a sigh of relief; they won’t play another ODI until September of next year. A format change was necessary for them, and they’d be hoping that a T20 series in the West Indies would provide much-needed relief from months of disappointing results in the 50-over match.

A real chance to compete against some of the top individual T20 players in the world at various Caribbean locations where they will be defending their titles in the upcoming World Cup. It’s all England must ask for. While Jos Buttler may not be able to get off the blocks quickly enough, Will Jacks and Phil Salt can buy him some time before he loses it. Buttler will be hopeful that shifting up top will eventually help him restore form.

Moeen Ali, Harry Brook, and Liam Livingstone all look primed to take the momentum gained in the powerplay into the middle overs. Lower-order batsmen Chris Woakes and Sam Curran can swat a couple of long balls and keep the scoreboard ticking if needed. Adil Rashid will take over as spin bowling coach from Rehan Ahmed.

Reece Topley has returned from another injury layoff and will start the opening match with Tymal Mills and Josh Tongue.

WI vs ENG outfield report

Cricket Prediction West Indies vs England 1st T20I Dec 13 – Will the host WI win against the mighty ENG in the T20I series Kensington Oval

We predict that both sides will opt to bat first if they win the toss before this series opener because the team batting first has won the last four Twenty20 Internationals at this location.

The prediction calls for dry conditions on Tuesday evening, while rain and cloud cover are possible earlier in the day. Throughout the ODI, the temperature will be in the mid-20s.

The pitch on Saturday also had some inconsistent bounce and was a touch two-paced. This game’s par score will not exceed 175–180.

Cricket Prediction South Africa vs India 2nd T20I Dec 12 – Let’s see how SA will perform in front of the World Cup Finalist

RSA vs IND Match Analysis

The second match of the T20I series between South Africa and India will take place in Gqeberha on Tuesday. This is after a washout in Durban prevented a toss or any balls from being bowled. The last game of the series will then take place on Thursday at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium. St George’s Park will host the match starting at 17:00 local time.

This could be South Africa’s greatest chance to win because some of their bowling attack will be leaving the series after this game to get ready for the Test series against India. We anticipate that South Africa’s bowling attack will benefit from this surface since it is a pitch that favors quick bowlers.

The surfaces in South Africa might not be quite the same as the ones back home for India’s players, and Sunday’s washout will have made it harder for them to get used to the conditions. Nonetheless, India boasts elite athletes who can deliver a stellar performance anywhere.

RSA vs IND Team Preview & Squads

South Africa

Players from South Africa shouldn’t be mentally or physically exhausted going into this match because they spent the majority of Sunday afternoon in their Durban dressing room. We thus anticipate that the team chosen for this match will be the same as the one that was chosen on Sunday.

Reeza Hendricks, Owing to South Africa’s batting lineups’ depth and strength, the 34-year-old has occasionally had to exercise patience in waiting for his chance this season. In T20I cricket, he has amassed over 1600 runs. Aiden Markram, the captain has a maximum score of 70 in this format, yet in Test and ODI cricket, he has produced massive hundreds. The right-hander is a fashionable batter in the top order.

Since making his debut earlier this year, right-arm fast bowler Gerald Coetzee has enjoyed a fantastic start to his international career. He has claimed 43 wickets in 19 international matches thus far. The 30-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler Lizaad Williams was in excellent form as he claimed four wickets in the opening two Twenty20 Internationals against Australia in August and September.

Aiden Markram (c), Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Matthew Breetzke, Donovan Ferreira, Andile Phehlukwayo, Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, David Miller, Lizaad Williams, Reeza Hendricks, Tabraiz Shamsi

India

This is the second of India’s eight planned international matches. Although several players have returned for the Tests and ODIs, no changes are anticipated for this encounter, therefore players like Shubman Gill at the top of the order and Kuldeep Yadav returning to bowl wrist spin are expected.

After becoming the first player from India to score a century in a Twenty20 international match against Australia last month, 26-year-old Ruturaj Gaikwad will now try to solidify his spot in this Indian squad. The right-handed skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, led his team to a 4-1 victory over Australia. With 1985 runs at a strike rate of 171.71, he is among the most thrilling T20I players in the globe.

The left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is an expert at swinging the ball. Although he can be pricey, he frequently takes wickets in this format. The young spinner Ravi Bishnoi turns the ball both ways with great length control. Out of 21 T20Is, he has a strike rate of 14.5.

Cricket Prediction | South Africa vs India | 2nd T20I | Dec 12 – Let’s see how SA will perform in front of the World Cup Finalist St George’s Park

The team batting first has won the last two Twenty20 International matches played at St George’s Park. Both teams will likely want to bat first in this game, according to our projection.

With Tuesday’s high teens, we can anticipate a high degree of humidity throughout this match at St George’s Park along with a lot of cloud cover.

Tuesday’s par score is expected to be between 175 and 180, with some turn for the spinners and movement of the straight for the quicks. The surface will move at a good clip.

Big Bash League Cricket Match Prediction 2023-24 Match 06 Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat – Will ST win their first match in this tournament Dec 12

Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat Match Analysis

The Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat square off at the Manuka Oval in Match 6 of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023. Thunder’s first match of the competition comes after they were eliminated in the Eliminator last season. So far this season, the Brisbane Heat have one win and one no-result. The game starts at 19:15 local time in Canberra.

Last season, the Sydney Thunder was inconsistent but still managed to qualify for the playoffs. Some of their young stars will have gained more experience ahead of this year’s championship, and we expect them to start strong.

The Brisbane Heat traveled to Adelaide only to witness no action in Match 3 on Saturday, but that means they are still unblemished after two matches. However, keeping their unblemished streak will be extremely difficult.

Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat Team Preview & Squads

Sydney Thunder

The Sydney Thunder has a handful of injury concerns, with Liam Hatcher likely to miss out, while Ollie Davies is expected to play against the Brisbane Heat. Thunder has no players that are unavailable due to the Pakistan Test series.

The Sydney Thunder is led by former England international Alex Hales, who has a stellar record not only in white-ball cricket but also in the BBL, where he has scored over 2000 runs. However, the 34-year-old was quite poor for Team Abu Dhabi in the Abu Dhabi T10 event over the last fortnight, finishing with four consecutive single-figure scorers, so he will need to get back into form for Thunder.

There is an excellent combination of bowlers in the lineup, including Nathan McAndrew, Daniel Sams, and Tanveer Sangha, who all have left-arm pace, right-arm pace, and spin.

Thunder had the chance to exact swift retribution in this match because Brisbane Heat eliminated them from the competition in the BBL Eliminator.

Sydney Thunder Squads

Chris Green (c), Matthew Gilkes (wk), Cameron Bancroft, Alex Hales, Jason Sangha, Alex Ross, Oliver Davies, Daniel Sams, Tanveer Sangha, Nathan McAndrew, and Zaman Khan.

Brisbane Heat

We expect the Brisbane Heat to field the same lineup that they planned to use in Adelaide until the weather arrives on Saturday. Due to preparations for the First Test against Pakistan, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja are still unavailable.

The entire Heat roster will be itching to get some action on Tuesday night in Canberra after they stayed home all day on Saturday in Adelaide.

Colin Munro has gone unbeaten in his previous three innings and will be regretting himself for going 99 not out in the first match win over the Melbourne Stars at the Gabba. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne have both been ruled out of the Test series against Pakistan, so there will be openings at the top of the order.

Michael Neser, Mitchell Swepson, and Xavier Bartlett all enter this match on the heels of strong bowling displays in their first encounter.

However, Breetzke’s versatility suggests that future IPL auctions might see a different outcome if he showcases his prowess in the upcoming T20I series against India. His journey in the IPL may be just around the corner, waiting for the right moment to unfold.

Gill or Gaikwad: Decoding India’s Choice for the 1st T20I Against South Africa

Gill or Gaikwad: Decoding India’s Choice for the 1st T20I Against South Africa

Gill or Gaikwad Decoding India’s Choice for the 1st T20I Against South Africa

Team India is gearing up for a crucial three-match T20I series against South Africa. It is marking a significant step in their preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Leading the charge is Suryakumar Yadav, who successfully captained the team in the recent home T20I series against Australia. However, the return of star players Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja has added a layer of complexity to the selection choices.

One of the key decisions revolves around the opening partnership, with the left-hand-right-hand combination of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad proving effective against Australia. However, with Gill back in the mix, the debate now centers on who should partner Jaiswal at the top of the order in the first T20I against South Africa.

Recent Form

Both Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill have had stellar performances in T20 cricket throughout the year. Gaikwad played a pivotal role in CSK’s IPL triumph, while Gill showcased his prowess by winning the Orange Cap with an impressive strike rate of 157.80. Both players scored their maiden T20I hundreds in 2023, underlining their exceptional form.

Recent performances continue to make the selection dilemma tougher. Gaikwad emerged as the leading run-scorer in India’s 4-1 victory against Australia, amassing 223 runs at a strike rate of 160, including a century in the third T20I. Gill, although having a quieter T20I series against West Indies, has been in fine touch, translating his form from the ODI World Cup.

Partnership Dynamics

The combination of Jaiswal and Gaikwad has proven successful, with their partnership flourishing in the 2023 Asian Games and the T20I series against Australia. Their technical proficiency, ability to handle both pace and spin and a shared approach of initially settling in and then accelerating make them a formidable duo. Interestingly, with a similar batting style, Gill emerges as a strong contender to complement Jaiswal effectively.

Team India is presented with a win-win situation as both Gill and Gaikwad have demonstrated their worthiness for a spot in the playing XI. The compatibility between these players ensures that India’s top order will remain robust, regardless of the final decision.

Rotation Strategy

In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian cricket, rotation and experimentation are integral aspects. Despite Gaikwad’s stellar performance in the previous series, the management may opt for rotation, allowing Gill to showcase his capabilities. With only a limited number of T20Is left before the 2024 T20 World Cup, each player needs game time to stake their claim for a spot in the final squad.

While the decision may not hinge on tactical considerations or abilities, game time becomes a crucial factor. Gill, having been out of the T20I scene for several months, presents a chance for the management to assess his readiness for the upcoming challenges.

The team management faces a pleasant headache of choosing between two in-form and compatible players. The decision may lean towards Gill for the first T20I, considering rotation and the need to evaluate all players before the crucial T20 World Cup. Regardless of the choice, Team India remains well-equipped for the challenges ahead.

India’s Top 5 Run-Scorers in T20Is Against South Africa

It is time for the clash of mighty cricket superpowers India and South Africa. We have long relished the intense battles between them in the T20Is, and over the years, some Indian batsmen have etched their names in the record books as the top run-scorers in T20Is against the Proteas. Let’s delve into the performances of India’s top 5 run-scorers in T20Is against South Africa.

1. Rohit Sharma

Undoubtedly, Rohit Sharma stands out as India’s leading run-scorer against South Africa in T20Is. In 17 appearances, Rohit amassed 420 runs, including a century and two fifties, at an average of 28 and a strike rate of 129.23. His impactful innings, like the 106 off 66 balls in Dharamshala in 2015, showcased his ability to dominate the Proteas bowling attack. Despite opting to rest for the upcoming series, Rohit’s position for the 2024 T20 World Cup remains uncertain due to recent struggles in T20I form.

2. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina, a stalwart in Indian T20 cricket, showcased his prowess against South Africa in 12 T20Is, accumulating 339 runs at an average of 33.90 and an impressive strike rate of 148.03. Raina’s historic century in Gros Islet in 2010, the first-ever T20I century by an Indian, remains etched in memory. Despite not reaching the 50-run mark against South Africa after that innings, Raina continued to contribute with valuable 30s and 40s until his last international match in 2018.

3. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli, the talismanic Indian captain, has left an indelible mark on T20 cricket. Against South Africa, he is most remembered for his match-winning 72 off 44 balls in the 2014 T20 World Cup semi-final. Overall, Kohli has amassed 318 runs in T20Is against the Proteas at an average of 35.33 and a strike rate of 134.17. Kohli’s recent hiatus from T20Is raises questions about his role in the team for the 2024 T20 World Cup, especially with the emergence of younger, dynamic players.

4. Shikhar Dhawan

Left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan, known for his aggressive style, played seven T20Is against South Africa, amassing 233 runs at an average of 33.28 and a strike rate of 141.21. His notable innings included a rapid 72 off 39 balls in Johannesburg during a bilateral series in 2018. Despite consistent IPL performances, Dhawan eventually made way for younger talents in the T20I setup.

5. Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik, a seasoned wicketkeeper-batter, has been a consistent performer for India in the middle-and-low order. Featuring 13 T20Is against South Africa, Karthik scored 221 runs at an average of 31.57 and an impressive strike rate of 144.44. His standout performance was a brisk 55 off 27 balls in Rajkot, contributing significantly to India’s dominating victory. However, a lackluster display in the 2022 T20 World Cup led to his omission from the squad.

With the 2024 T20 World Cup on the horizon, the selectors face the challenging task of balancing experience and the emergence of young talents to form a formidable lineup for India’s future T20I campaigns against South Africa and beyond.

Zimbabwe vs Ireland (3rd T20I) – Highlights

In the third Twenty20 International in Harare, Ireland defeated Zimbabwe with ease because of an uninterrupted 104-run partnership between Harry Tector and George Dockrell. This was Ireland’s first away Twenty20 International series victory over a Full Member side.

It appeared as though this match may go into the final over, just like the previous two when Ireland faltered to 37 for 4 in seven overs with 141 to pursue. However, Ireland quickly gained control after Dockrell and Tector neutralized Zimbabwe’s spin threat. In the end, they easily won with eight balls remaining. After the twelfth over, the tide turned. Up until that point, Ireland was seeking more runs per ball.

Ireland managed to chase down 141-4 in 18.4 overs, with Harry Tector topping the score with an undefeated 54 off 45 balls that included two sixes and three fours at a strike rate of 120.

Andy Balbirnie scored 13 off 14 balls, including a boundary, while George Dockrell smashed an undefeated 49 off 32 balls with three sixes and three fours at a strike rate of 153.12.

Blessing Muzarabani, Wellington Masakadza, Richard Ngarava, and Brandon Mavuta, Zimbabwe’s top bowler, all claimed one wicket apiece. After scoring 126 runs at an average of 63 during the three-match series, Harry Tector was named player of the series.

In this series, Zimbabwe, already without the suspended Sikandar Raza, had to select a third captain in as many games as Sean Williams was sidelined due to an injury sustained during the second Twenty20 International.

As a result, there was a significant lineup change, with fast bowler Trevor Gwandu and opener Tadiwanashe Marumani being replaced by legspinner Brandon Mavuta, left-arm spinner Masakadza, and batsman Tony Munyonga.

Following its introduction, Zimbabwe remained plagued by first-order problems. After an outstanding performance at No. 3 on Saturday, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe was put out to open, but Josh Little’s opening ball trapped him leg before wicket.

However, Brian Bennett took full advantage of his promotion to No. 3, having made 1 and 0 in his opening two international matches. Short balls were aimed at him by Ireland’s bowlers, but he didn’t back down from pulling and hooking to get out of the flurry. Bennett removed Barry McCarthy for two consecutive sixes to end the powerplay on a high note, even though Zimbabwe only managed 26 in their opening five overs.

Finally, With Ryan Burl as the leading scorer, Zimbabwe amassed 140-6 in 20 overs. Burl hit 36 off 28 balls, including four fours, at a strike rate of 128.57.

With a strike rate of 142.10, Tony Munyonga smashed a 27 off 19 balls, including two sixes and a four. Clive Madande hit a run-a-ball 27 with three fours, while Wesley Madhevere added 14.

Josh Little and Craig Young each claimed two wickets, while Ireland’s top bowler, Gareth Delany, claimed two wickets for eight runs in two overs at an economy rate of four.
