Brandon King and Rovman Powell showed his proof once again with the bat. They won the match by 10 runs with great batting and brought the team a collection of 176 runs. West Indies took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series against England.

 

Two openers Brandon King and Kyle Meyers got off to a good start after losing the toss to bat in the second match of the series in St. George on Thursday. Mayers scored 17 runs off 16 balls to return home with a team’s total of 43 runs. After that, the West Indies lost three more wickets (Nicolas Pooran 5, Shai Hope 1, and Shimron Hetmyer 2 runs) to get 11 more runs.

In the end, England stopped at 166 runs after going down to bat with a target of 177 runs. Finally, West Indies won by 10 runs.

India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav joined team-mate Rohit Sharma and Australia’s batsman Glenn Maxwell by scoring a great century on this day. Yesterday’s century in T20I is Surya’s fourth career century. Apart from these three cricketers, no other cricketer has scored more centuries in international T20. So far, this record was shared by Rohit and Maxwell. This time Surya has shared the record by playing the least (60) matches.

 

India got off to a great start after losing the toss to bat in the series-saving match in Johannesburg on Thursday. Suryakumar’s team scored 29 runs in the first two overs. In the third over, left-handed orthodox bowler Keshav Maharaj struck a pair. He took two wickets in two balls. This spinner returned Shubman Gill for 8 runs (6 balls) and Tilak Varma for 0 runs (1 ball).

 

Then Surya made a great partnership of 112 runs off 70 balls with opener Yasshwi Jaswal in the fourth over.
