Cricket Prediction New Zealand vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I Dec 31 – Can the Tigers take the series by winning the series decider

NZ vs BAN Match Analysis

At the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on New Year’s Eve, the three-match Twenty20 International series between Bangladesh and New Zealand comes to an end.

Due to nonstop rain, the second Twenty20 International between Bangladesh and New Zealand was abandoned after just eleven games. Bangladesh’s victory in the opening Twenty20 International has guaranteed them a win in this series. Now, on the last day of the year, all eyes will be on the third and last Twenty20 International at Mount Maunganu. Bangladesh will be aiming for a historic series victory, while the Kiwis will do everything in their power to level the series.

The swing bowlers should benefit from the conditions for Sunday’s match, and New Zealand has a strong collection of players prepared to take advantage of that. If the hosts couldn’t equalize the series, it would be shocking.

Bangladesh has the benefit in that their bowlers have already experienced this pitch, and they will be eager to start again in this game. Although the tour is concluding, the team will feel confident going into this match.

NZ vs BAN Team Preview & Squads

New Zealand

New Zealand may stick with the same starting lineup. This would allow Tim Seifert to capitalize on the momentum gained from his 43-point performance in the last encounter. Meanwhile, fellow opener Finn Allen is suffering following a string of defeats this series.

New Zealand, like Bangladesh, is hard at work preparing for the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America next year. This is another opportunity for them to test new personnel combinations and other methods that will be required to win a world title.

In this series, the Black Caps are without a few key bowlers. Ben Sears should receive another chance this week to demonstrate why he is such an exceptional talent – and to argue for regular inclusion in the T20I squad, if not the playing XI, in the future. Even if Adam Milne has more experience than Sears, he can perform the same thing.

New Zealand Squads

Cricket Prediction | New Zealand vs Bangladesh | 3rd T20I | Dec 31 – Can the Tigers take the series by winning the series decider? New Zealand Squads

Mitchell Santner (c), Tim Seifert (wk), Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, and Ben Sears.

Bangladesh

For Bangladesh once more, Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar will be crucial at bat. Das and Sarkar are essentially responsible for scoring the majority of the team’s runs in the absence of Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, provided that other resources are not able to do so. In the first game of the series, Das scored the most, 42.

Among Bangladesh’s bowling assaults, Shoriful Islam has emerged as the most formidable player with four wickets taken in this series. Right now, he is among the world’s top left-arm seamers in Twenty20 international cricket. His angles and pace have proven to be a challenge for the hitters in New Zealand.

Once more, spin may be crucial for Bangladesh. After the first game, Mahedi Hasan was voted player of the match. In Napier, he performed admirably when bowling in difficult conditions; in Mount Maunganui, he’ll have another opportunity to take advantage of extra bounce and turn.

NZ vs BAN outfield report

Cricket Prediction | New Zealand vs Bangladesh | 3rd T20I | Dec 31 – Can the Tigers take the series by winning the series decider?

Bay Oval

We predict both teams to opt for fielding first if they win the toss before this match, as Bangladesh did when they won the toss and decided to field first in the second Twenty20 International at this location.

It appears to be a muggy and gloomy afternoon at Mount Maunganui on Sunday, but rain is not expected to fall until after the planned end of the match.

As evidenced by most of the strike rates on Friday, scoring runs is not simple on this pitch. A par score is likely to be less than 150.

Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars Match Analysis

On Sunday evening at the Adelaide Oval, the Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars will face off in Match 20 of the 2023-24 Big Bash League.

The BBL is entering the vital middle portion of the league contests, with clubs vying to finish in the top half of the points standings. Melbourne Stars won their next two matches following three consecutive losses. And will be seeking to build on their recent success with another victory to raise the points table. Adelaide Strikers have had a strange run of luck, having lost their previous two games after winning the first two. After their previous setbacks, they will look to regain momentum with a win in this encounter.

Adelaide Strikers are in the bottom part of the table and need to turn things around quickly if they are to save their season. However, they will enjoy their chances in front of their home crowd, even against a resurgent Melbourne Stars.

Melbourne Stars will go into every match knowing they have a chance now that Glenn Maxwell is back to full shape and performing with the bat. Their recent form has been excellent, and they will have no reservations about traveling to Adelaide for this game.

Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars Team Preview & Squads

Adelaide Strikers

The Adelaide Strikers will rely on the top three batsmen to perform. The opening duo of Matthew Short and D’Arcy Short has been in fantastic form, scoring two half-centuries each in three innings. Chris Lynn had a poor start to the season, but he returned to form in the last encounter, scoring 56 runs off 34 deliveries.

Middle-order batsmen such as Jake Weatherald, James Bazley, and Adam Hose have yet to be in great form, and the squad will need at least one of them to bat a long inning. The seamers, Jamie Overton and David Payne did well, each taking six wickets.

Cameron Boyce and Matthew Short, who have taken four wickets between them, lead the spin assault.

Adelaide Strikers Squads

Matthew Short (c), Harry Nielsen (wk), D’Arcy Short, Jake Weatherald, Chris Lynn, Adam Hose, James Bazley, Wes Agar, Jamie Overton, David Payne, and Cameron Boyce.

Melbourne Stars

Glenn Maxwell was in superb all-round form in the last encounter, taking three wickets and scoring 35 runs in a rain-affected match. He’ll be a key player once more. The Stars are concerned about Sam Harper’s poor play since he hasn’t been able to help the squad get off to a good start.

Hilton Cartwright is the team’s most consistent batter and its leading run-scorer. Because Haris Rauf and Usama Mir are out for the rest of the season, the Star’s bowling appears to be significantly weaker. So far, they have been the team’s leading wicket-takers.

Dan Lawrence will most likely fill in as a replacement and add depth to the batting order. He, like Imad Wasim, is a good bowler. Joel Paris and Marcus Stoinis are expected to spearhead the seam attack, while Wasim, Maxwell, and Glenn Maxwell will handle the spin.

Despite being put to bat first, the Adelaide Strikers won the previous encounter at the Adelaide Oval. If either captain wins the toss, we believe they will choose to field first.

During this year’s BBL, the only previous match at this venue saw a total of 405 runs scored. On Sunday evening, we anticipate another good batting wicket.

Australia vs Pakistan (2nd Test) – Highlights

The target was 317 runs. Pakistan scored 219 runs for 5 wickets. It seemed that Shan Masood’s team would return to parity after winning the Melbourne Test. But from there, Australia won the match dramatically.

In Pat Cummins-Mitchell Starck’s ball, Pakistan’s last 5 wickets fell for only 18 runs! Australia took a dramatic victory by 79 runs. Australia won the three-match series by 2-0 with one test in hand.

The fourth day of the Melbourne Test was full of drama. Batting with 187 runs for 6 wickets, Pakistan restricted Australia to 262 runs. Alex Carrey scored 53.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mir Hamza took 4 wickets each.

Two openers Abdullah Shafiq (4) and Imam Ul Haque (12) could not benefit in the run chase. However, Pakistan was smelling victory with the bat of captain Shan Masood and Babar Azam.

Shan Masood was the victim of Cummins for 60 runs. Hazelwood sent back Babar Azam (41). Then Saud Shakeel (24) was also set and out. However, Pakistan returned to the fight with the bat of Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman.

They added 57 runs for the sixth wicket. Cummins broke the pair by making Rizwan (35) caught by the wicketkeeper. After that, Pakistan’s innings collapsed like a house of cards.

Agha Salman tried to take an edge. But after fifty he also had to return (50) as a victim of Starc. Pakistan’s second innings stopped at 237 runs.

Australia scored 318 in the first innings in this Test. In reply, Pakistan were all out for 264 runs. The visitors picked up 4 wickets of Aussies for 16 runs in the second innings. But Abdullah Shafiq’s one catch drop seems to have made the match’s fate. He couldn’t catch Marsh for 20 runs, so Marsh played an innings of 96 runs.
