Cricket Prediction | Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka | 2nd ODI | March 15 – Let’s see if BAN can win the series or not.
BAN vs SL Match Analysis
Bangladesh is now focused on winning the series after winning the first game of the series by a commanding 6-wicket margin. After the defeat, Sri Lanka is a little rattled, but they have to get over it fast and mount a formidable comeback to win the series. All they will be thinking about is forcing the series into a final, and they will be a little frantic to win the second ODI against the hosts and settle the scores.
While both of these teams had their share of boring periods, Bangladesh took advantage of all the major opportunities throughout the game and performed well under duress. When the chips were down, they maintained greater coolness and demonstrated the fortitude to fight fire with fire to achieve their desired outcome. The hosts need one more firefighting demonstration like this to bring the series to a close. However, Sri Lanka will enter the game with a point to prove and the expectation of improving their cricketing performance.
BAN vs SL Team Preview & Squads
Bangladesh
Bangladesh won the first game of the series easily, thus they entered the second ODI with high spirits. They did experience some nerves early in both innings, despite what the final result might imply.
When they took the ball, the SL openers struck quickly, reaching about 70 runs in the first ten overs. However, Tanzim and Taskin did a good job of taking three wickets in 20 balls, putting Sri Lanka in a little trouble at 84/3 and forcing them to rally. The openers’ solid stand was essentially destroyed by this, and Sri Lanka was forced to start developing their innings. With three scalps apiece, the explosive pace trio—which included Shoriful Islam—finally destroyed SL.
Similarly, Bangladeshi batters were in trouble early on, as their top order was gone in 6 overs when they were chasing a below-par 256 for victory. With a clear intention of attacking, Mahmudullah moved to the middle and contributed significant runs to the total before being removed for 37, but Najmul Hossain Shanto, the young captain, would not give up and concluded with a match-winning 122*, which also happened to be his best score to date. To provide Shanto with the assistance he needed on the other end, Mushfiqur Rahim drew from his experience.
Bangladesh Squads
Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah, Taijul Islam, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy, Shoriful Islam, Litton Das, Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
Sri Lanka
After winning the toss, SL decided to bat first. They had a great start, but before they could build on it, they lost three quick wickets, which made it appear like a bad idea to bat. Their batsmen took it upon themselves to halt the bleeding after they lost several wickets early on. Their careful batting slowed things down considerably, but they were able to prevent another collapse.
They seemed to lose a wicket every time they attempted to accelerate the pace. They had to choose between scoring runs and staying safe, and as a result, they only managed 255, which was not good on a strong batting strip.
Madushanka got off to a great start, getting rid of Litton Das in his opening over and Soumya Sarkar in the following. At 23/3, Pramod Madushan cheaply dismissed Hridoy, leaving Bangladesh reeling. When it appeared that Sri Lanka would win, Shanto and Mahmudullah steadied the ship by putting on 69 runs for the fourth wicket. Mahmudullah’s removal allowed Sri Lanka to break the stand, but Shanto’s middle-order combination with Mushfiqur Rahim ensured their team didn’t lose any more wickets. The dew moved in, making it more difficult for SL bowlers to control the ball and use their techniques correctly. And the batsmen from Bangladesh took advantage of it.
To have the best opportunity of advancing the series into the third ODI, the visitors must strengthen their middle order bowling and batting.
Sri Lanka Squads
Sri Lanka
Kusal Mendis (c & wk), Pathum Nissanka, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Janith Liyanage, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Pramod Madushan, Charith Asalanka, Dilshan Madushanka, Avishka Fernando, Lahiru Kumara.

BAN vs SL outfield report
In the opening game, SL won the toss and elected to bat, a move that ultimately backfired on them. In the white ball portion of the series, Bangladesh has so far done a respectable job of chasing, winning two, and going perilously close to winning one. In this match, SL may choose to chase in an attempt to slightly unnerve them.
There won’t be any interruptions due to the weather. However, Dew might contribute once more and greatly simplify matters for the pursuing team. The opening match’s surface was ideal for batting, but Sri Lanka was unable to fully build on their strong start to end with a sizable score. It is expected that the strip will act in the same way in the upcoming encounter.
