At the 13-over mark, the Kings were cruising at 139/2, with Rossouw on 76 and Fernando on 51. A review by the Colombo Strikers in the same over, challenging Rossouw’s wicket, was struck down by the umpire. The team crossed the 150-run mark in 14.4 overs with just two extras.
The second powerplay from 15.1 to 17.0 overs saw the batting side accumulating 25 runs without losing any wickets. Rossouw reached a magnificent century off just 44 balls, hitting 11 fours and 6 sixes, leading the Jaffna Kings to a dominant position in the match.
