The incident of cricketers losing their temper on the field is not new. The incident of the batsman getting involved in an argument with the bowler during the exciting time of the match is not rare. But that is at the international level. Arguments between players of one country with another country are often seen on the field. But this time David Warner and Matthew Wade made such an incident themselves. These two Australian cricketers have pushed each other on the field. Criticism about this issue is going on in Australian cricket.
The incident took place during a match between Sydney Thunders and Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash, Australia’s franchise-based T20 tournament. At one point in the match, while Sydney’s Chris Green was bowling, Hobart’s batsman Wade made excessive movements at the crease. There was some argument between the two about this. But immediately Warner came between the two.
Warner did not come to reconcile between Green and Wade, but on the contrary, he prolonged the incident. Warner spoke excitedly to Wade. This led to an argument between the two. At one stage, Warner even pushed Wade. However, the umpires came forward and handled the situation. Although the situation became calm, many cricket lovers are quite surprised by this incident.
Although Warner wanted to hide the incident after the match. He said, “Wade is a very good person. I know him well. It happens on the field, it’s normal. Green has claimed to me about him more than once. So, I went to talk. Maybe I lost a little temper there. But later we fixed it.”
Although the players claim to have settled, the Australian Cricket Board is not taking such incidents well on the field. It is learned that the cricketers involved in the controversy will be summoned and warned not to repeat such incidents in the future. Of course, Warner and Wade are good friends in Australian cricket. Such behavior from them is unexpected for the fans.
