Healy angry with India’s behavior and wants ICC’s intervention

In the first test of the high voltage India – Australia test series, Australia suffered a lot. Hosts India have won 1-0 after finishing the Nagpur Test in just three days. After not being able to take advantage of the Nagpur wicket, Australia’s thoughts are now about the remaining three test venues. So they wanted to take preparations on the Nagpur pitch. But as India did not provide that facility, former Australian cricketer Ian Healy asked for the ICC’s intervention.

Australia was basically trapped in Nagpur’s whirlwind wicket. They will play three more Tests against India. But here too Pat Cummins wanted to practice a bit more on the spinning pitch of Nagpur so as not to fall into the trap of India’s spin. And they had already informed the authorities about it. But the local curators of Nagpur spoiled this plan. They watered the pitch the day before practice.

And after this incident, former Australian cricketer Ian Healy expressed anger. In an interview to a TV channel, he said, “It is sad. We are really disappointed that our plans have been ruined. It is definitely not good. It cannot be good for cricket. And ICC should come forward in these cases. We have already requested them for practice. But still how do they water the pitch! What a behave! It’s absolutely terrible. They need to be fixed.”

Meanwhile, Australian coach Andrew Macdonald made it clear that Australia was really interested in the practice. He said, “It was not our sudden practice, it was our planned practice session. We have 17 cricketers in the squad. Not all are experienced cricketers. There are some new players too. It was a matter of getting them into practice. Each team has a different practice plan. And it certainly wasn’t a sudden practice. It was also our preparation for the next match. But that didn’t happen.”

It should be noted that the former cricketers of Australia have already criticized this whirlwind pitch of India. Former captain Ricky Ponting has said that Australia is going to suffer. Although Australia could not do well on this pitch, Rohit Sharma scored 400 runs on this pitch. India has also given a message that even on spinning wickets, runs can be collected. Meanwhile, after the Nagpur Test, India – Australia will face each other in the Delhi Test. Before that, two camps are spreading tension in the pitch incident.
