2nd edition of ILT schedule released

2nd edition of ILT schedule released

The newest addition to the world of franchise cricket is the International League T20 (ILT). This league of United Arab Emirates has started its journey from this year. The curtain of the first season came down a few days ago. Where Gulf Giants won the title. A few days after the end of the first season, the organizing committee of the island announced the date of the second season.

As per the announcement, the second season of ILT will start from January 13, 2024. However, the authorities have not released the full schedule of the tournament so far. A total of 34 matches will be held in the next edition of the tournament. Where four matches are play-off and final. Meanwhile, the organizing committee has informed that the full schedule for the next season will be published soon.

Authorities have published a press release regarding the upcoming session of ILT. There they said, “The first season of ILT (2023) has been successfully completed. We have started working on the second season of the tournament. The second season will start on January 13, 2024. The tournament will have a total of 34 matches. Among them, one eliminator, two qualifiers and one final.

Meanwhile after the start of ILT, star cricketers from almost all the countries of the world have become interested in playing there. Because the number of foreign players in the eleven of this league is 9. Which is only 4 people in other leagues. In that case, as the opportunity for foreigners is more, the cricketers are making use of that opportunity. Many of them have been seen playing in ILT apart from international cricket.

However, the schedule of this tournament is in conflict with other leagues, so the organizers are in some trouble. South Africa’s SAT20 and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) were held at the same time. Where there is also a problem with getting players. With multiple leagues running at the same time, cricketers get stuck. Looking at the schedule, it is assumed that the same problem may arise in these leagues in the next season as well.
