Yesterday (March 6) Monday, Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings faced each other in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League. Batting first in that match, Karachi Kings made a good target in the allotted 20 overs.

Later, chasing that target, Quetta Gladiators reached the target in the allotted 20 overs. As a result, they left the field with a victory of 4 wickets. Quetta Gladiators are at the bottom of the points table with 2 wins in their last 8 matches. Karachi Kings is in the 5th place in the points table after winning 2 matches out of 9 matches. Apart from this, Martin Guptill won the man of the match title due to his excellent batting.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first and put Karachi Kings into bat. In the beginning, Karachi Kings were not in a good position to bat. Wade hit a golden duck on the first ball. Then Tayyab Tahir left the field after the team scored 25 runs. He scored 7 runs off 12 balls with 1 four before getting out.

Then Qasim Akram was caught out on the 3rd ball of the 8th over and left for the dressing room. He scored only 8 runs in 10 balls. Experienced player Shoaib Malik could not stay on the field too for long and he left the field after scoring 13 runs off 15 balls with the help of 1 four.

With the team on 124 runs, wicket-keeper Adam Rossington, the highest run scorer for them, was caught off the 2nd ball of the 17th over. He scored 69 runs off 45 balls. His innings of 69 runs were decorated with 10 fours and 1 six.

James Fuller, who scored 5 runs from 6 balls, returned to the dressing room after 7 runs.

After that, they didn’t have to lose any more wickets. In the end, Imad Wasim was unbeaten on 30 runs off 20 balls. He also hit 3 fours and 1 six. His innings of 86 were studded with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 29 runs off 25 balls with 1 four. 

Besides, Mohammad Nawaz scored 15 runs, Dwayne Pretorius 10 runs, Umar Akmal 9 runs, Omair Yousuf 8 runs, Iftikhar Ahmed 4 runs, and Najibullah Zadran 1 run. In the end, their innings stopped at 168 runs with 6 extra runs.

Tabraiz Shamsi took 2 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs for Karachi Kings. Besides, James Fuller, Amer Yamin, and Muhammad Musa took one wicket each.
