Harpreet scored 13 runs and then Jitesh Sharma returned to the dressing room with 9 runs. Ashutosh came to the field after that. Bumrah sent Shashank back to the dressing room. But by that time Shashank had played an innings of 41 runs off 25 balls. At the end of 12.1 overs, the team collected 111 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. Ashutosh was still hoping to win the game for PBKS.

He continued to lead the team to victory. Harpreet Brar accompanied him. Ashutosh completed his half-century in just 23 balls. A storm of 4 sixes was seen then. Ashutosh played a devastating innings of 61 runs off 28 balls to take the team score from 14/4 to 168/8.

But in the end, he could not make the Punjab Kings victorious. When PBKS needed just 23 runs off 18 balls to win, Coetzee sent Ashutosh back to the bench. Then Harpreet Brar was dismissed for 21 runs off 20 balls. Rabada gave away his wicket while running to take 2 runs in the last over. Although there were 5 more balls in hand. In the end, MI won the match by 9 runs.

Earlier, Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to field at home. Batting first, Mumbai Indians collected 192 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav’s fifty helped MI achieve this hefty total. He played a great innings of 78 runs off 53 balls smashing 7 fours and 3 sixes.

Besides, Rohit Sharma scored 36 runs and Tilak Varma made 34 runs. Harshal Patel seized 3 wickets and Sam Curran took 2 for Punjab Kings. Besides, Kagiso Rabada got 1 wicket.
