Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has revealed the schedule for India’s upcoming white-ball tour, which is set to take place from July 26 to August 7, 2024. This highly anticipated tour includes three T20Is and three ODIs, marking the beginning of a new chapter under India’s newly appointed head coach, Gautam Gambhir. This tour follows India’s impressive run in the T20 World Cup 2024 and a currently ongoing five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe, where India leads 2-1.
The series against Sri Lanka will be Gautam Gambhir’s first assignment as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Gambhir, known for his aggressive batting and strategic mindset, is expected to bring a fresh approach to the team. The players and fans alike are eager to see how his leadership will influence the team’s performance, especially after their triumphant T20 World Cup campaign. The tour begins with a T20I series, featuring back-to-back matches on July 26 and 27, followed by the final T20I on July 29.
