Ahmad’s performance was crucial in containing the opponents and paving the way for the Kings to have an easy pursuit.

 

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons managed 142/7 in their 20 overs against the St Lucia Kings. Justin Greaves top-scored with 36 off 26 balls, hitting 5 fours. Fakhar Zaman supported with 21 off 17 balls, including a four and a six. Kofi James struggled, managing only 5 off 9 balls. Jewel Andrew contributed 15 off 21 balls, while Imad Wasim remained unbeaten with 29 off 23 balls, anchoring the innings. Sam Billings added 14 off 12 balls before falling to Noor Ahmad, who also dismissed Fabian Allen for a golden duck. The St Lucia Kings’ bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, restricting the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Noor Ahmad was the standout, taking 3 wickets for just 18 runs in his 4 overs, with an impressive economy rate of 4.50. David Wiese and Alzarri Joseph each claimed a wicket, with Wiese conceding 20 runs in 3 overs and Joseph 33 in his full quota of 4 overs. Roston Chase was economical, giving away only 11 runs in 2 overs while picking up a wicket. Khary Pierre also contributed with a wicket, finishing with figures of 1/26 in his 4 overs.

 

In the 2nd innings, with one four and three sixes, Johnson Charles scored an undefeated 47 off 46 balls to start the innings. Faf du Plessis gave the team a quick start with five fours and a six in his opening 28 off 15 balls. Before Fabian Allen trapped him for a leg before wicket, Ackeem Auguste scored 27 off 20 balls. The Kings won the match easily by seven wickets thanks to Tim Seifert’s explosive 26 off 11 balls to end the innings.

 

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons’ bowlers struggled to contain the St Lucia Kings. Mohammad Amir had a tough outing, conceding 45 runs in his 4 overs without taking a wicket, with an economy rate of 11.25. Shamar Springer was even more expensive, giving away 20 runs in his single over. Imad Wasim was the most economical, taking 1 wicket for 21 runs in his 4 overs. Chris Green also bowled well, claiming 1 wicket for 24 runs in his 4 overs. Fabian Allen took 1 wicket but was slightly expensive, conceding 34 runs in his 4 overs.
