India has entered a new era of T20 cricket. This revamped team, now without some of the game’s legends, has already secured two away series victories since the T20 World Cup. They are now set to play their first home series against a formidable and experienced Bangladesh side. Under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy, India achieved a 3-0 series sweep in Sri Lanka. However, IND will be without key players from that series, including Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammad Siraj, and Axar Patel.

Bangladesh has lost their last three consecutive T20Is, including a defeat to Afghanistan while chasing a modest target of 116 runs during the World Cup. This upcoming match will be their first T20I since that disappointing loss. There will be additional possibilities for players in this series. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are not included in the team. Abhishek Sharma is a great option to start the innings as a result.
