After Rashid, Naveen rejects the Big Bash

In the latest reaction to women not being able to play cricket in Afghanistan, Australia has cancelled the bilateral ODI series. In a message, he said, “Afghanistan government is lagging behind women in all fields. We always want women to advance in cricket like men. We will be happy if women return to cricket. We will discuss this with ACB.”

Announcing not to play in the Big Bash to protest the cancellation of the series, Naveen said, “Australia is behaving like a child. They need to stop this. Otherwise, I will not play in the Big Bash. I should not play them here. They are not standing by our side when we are in trouble, on the contrary.” It’s taking away the joy. Our point is, if they don’t want to play, we won’t play either.”

Of course, not only Naveen, many other Afghan cricketers can skip the Big Bash. Among them are the best star cricketers of the time like Rashid Khan. Rashid has already said that he will not play the Big Bash in protest of Australia’s decision. Afghans think that it is wrong of Ajid not to play series with them. With decisions like cancelling the bilateral series between the two teams, Afghanistan also feels that they are letting Afghanistan down. That is why the Afghans are leaving the Big Bash in protest.
