Shahid Afridi’s Strategy – Providing Alternatives to Babar Azam for ODI World Cup Success The cricketing world is abuzz with anticipation as the thirteenth
India is one of the superpowers of world cricket. Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya are playing great cricket in three formats since the beginning of 2023. Due to good performance, India is also dominating the ICC rankings. The team is at the top in white ball cricket. But ICC has ranked India number one in Tests too, but it is wrong. Later, however, the authorities corrected that mistake.
In the recently released Test rankings by ICC, India is seen as the number one team. But after a few hours that list was deleted by the highest governing body of cricket. ICC has released the new Test team rankings. Australia is placed at the top there. At the same time, the ICC also said that the ranking published by putting India at the top was wrong. They apologize for that.
The ICC said that this mistake was made unintentionally. They apologized to everyone for the temporary confusion. In this regard, a statement issued by the ICC said, “Due to a technical error, India was seen at the top of the Test rankings for some time. This was an unintentional mistake on our part. We apologize for temporarily confusing everyone.”
Meanwhile, Australia’s rating points at the top of the Test rankings are ahead of all other teams. The Australia team is the number one test team with 126 rating points. After them is India with Rating Points 115. However, after the ongoing Boarder-Gavaskar Trophy against India, the difference in rating points between the two teams may decrease. Indians have already won the first match of the series.
Note that the number one team in ODIs is India’s current rating of 114 points. Next to them with 112 rating points is Australia, who are top in Tests. In this list, with 111 rating points, England is ranked third. On the other hand, India has achieved 267 rating points to occupy the top position in T20. England (266) and Pakistan (258) are second and third in the list.
