India announces team for New Zealand series, Prithvish returns

India started the year by winning the white ball series against Sri Lanka. India will play a bilateral series against New Zealand at home from February 18. Where two teams will play three ODIs and T20Is each. For those two series, the teams have already been announced by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). Where some have returned, some have been given leave. But after many days, the Indian Cricket Board surprised by calling Prithveesh in the team.

It is known even before the announcement of the New Zealand series team that Lokesh Rahul will not be able to play on the occasion because of his wedding. For this reason, the Indian wicket-keeper batsman has already taken leave from BCCI. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw returned to the T20 series team against New Zealand after many days. On the back of an unprecedented triple century in the domestic league recently, he was recalled by the Indian selectors. Since then, this cricketer has been discussed.

Prithvir made his debut in the Indian team with great potential. He made a century on his Test debut. After that he was dropped from the team due to injury and lack of form. He was the World Cup winning captain of the under 19 team. Players like Shubman Gill played under him. Even though Gil is settled in the team, Prithvi is still not settled. But from the beginning he is considered as the long race horse of Indian cricket. Former cricketers like Gautam Gambhir also urged the board to stand by him in his difficult times. This series is therefore an opportunity for Prithvi to prove himself once again.

However, the surprising thing in this series is that India has become dependent on youth in the T20 team. Cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma will not play in the short format against New Zealand. Who have not played in this format since the last T20 World Cup. Hardik Pandya will always lead that team.
