India now number one in all three formats of cricket

India are in great form at home. Losing them on their own soil has become almost impossible. A few days ago, they won the first match of the Test series against Australia. India has been the number one team in the ICC T20 rankings since the beginning of 2022. At the beginning of this year, they have become number one in the ODI format as well. This time India have become number one in the Test. In other words, India is now the number one team in all three formats of international cricket.

India is the second team in the history of cricket to be the number one team in all three formats simultaneously. Earlier, South Africa was the first team to become the number one team in all three formats. South Africa achieved this feat on August 29, 2012. The Proteas were already on top in Test and T20 cricket then. Then South Africa defeated England in an ODI match between South Africa against England at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. And after that they became number one in ODI cricket as well. This time team India made that feat.

India became the number one team in all three formats and became the number one team in the last test cricket. And in this regard, they have left Australia behind. Now they are at the top with 115 rating points in the test. Australia is second with 111 points. Next is England. They have 106 points. New Zealand is after these three superpowers of cricket. They are fourth with 100 points.

Zimbabwe is the 10th country in the list of top ten teams in the recently published test rankings by ICC. Their rating points are 25. Bangladesh is in ninth place with 46 points. Sri Lanka is in the eighth place with 76 points. Pakistan is at number seven with one point more than them. West Indies and South Africa are ranked sixth and fifth with 79 and 85 points respectively.

Meanwhile, Indian cricketers have also improved in their individual rankings. Ravichandran Ashwin has come to the second place in the ranking of Test bowlers. The list of all-rounders improved as Jadeja returned to the team after recovering from injury. Jadeja, who collapsed with the bat of Australia, has risen to number one in the list of all-rounders. His points are 424. Ashwin is second with 358 points.

Team India is praised for being the number one team in all three formats. Many have congratulated them on social media. Let’s see how long Rohit-Kohli can hold the top spot.
