He claimed six wickets in Jamaica’s second innings and followed it up with seven more in the third innings, dismissing them for just 118. His match figures of 13 for 125 were instrumental in securing a win by an innings and 25 runs.

Charles’s emergence on the national radar can be traced back to 2019, when he made headlines by dismissing notable England batsmen during a practice match. His five-wicket haul against England’s touring side in Bridgetown, Barbados, included the scalps of key players like Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Moeen Ali.
