Taskin is hopeful of winning the series against England

Bangladesh will play ODI and T20 series against England in March. Bangladesh has not yet announced the team for that series at home. However, there is no doubt that Taskin Ahmed will play in this white ball series against England. So, before the announcement of the team, the eyes of the Tiger Pacers, is to win the series. As the game will be played at home, Taskin’s confidence in winning is also high.

Taskin also has considerable arguments with confidence. Bangladesh has become unstoppable at home in the last decade. Tests and T20s aside, beating the Tigers in ODI cricket is a tough task. Looking at the statistics, it can be seen that Bangladesh has played 57 ODIs at home from 2012 to 2022. Where 40 wins and 17 losses.

Expressing hope of a series win against England, Taskin said, “Actually they (England) are a stronger team than us. Batting and bowling are far ahead. But our strength is the home ground advantage. Cricket is a game, those who play well on a certain day, will win. If we give our best as a team, we can win the series.”

However, Taskin believes that this series against the English will be very difficult. According to him, to beat the visitors, the Tigers will have to come out with a perfect plan. In this regard, Taskin also said, “They (England) will fight. They can play well in any condition. They are champions. If we want to beat them, we have to play according to the plan.”

However, Taskin is currently out of the field due to injury. The right-handed pacer suffered a hamstring injury while playing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Due to which he could not enter the field at the end of the tournament. He has been rested for a few days by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). After a rest, Taskin will return fit for the England series.
