Aryan Juyal
Leading the charge is Aryan Juyal, a name that has already made waves in this season. The right-handed batter, once part of the IPL’s Mumbai Indians, has proven his mettle by smashing the first century of UP T20 2024. Juyal’s blistering 104* off 54 balls against Noida Super Kings was a spectacle of power hitting, featuring five sixes and 10 boundaries.
With such a commanding start, Juyal has set the tone for what could be an extraordinary campaign for the Gorakhpur Lions. Juyal’s performance could very well be the driving force behind the Lions’ success this season.
Swastik Chikara
Swastik Chikara is another young batter who has already established himself as a formidable force in the UP T20 League. Suiting up for the Meerut Mavericks, this young gun smashed his way to the top of the charts in 2023, racking up 494 runs in just nine innings. His extraordinary strike rate of 173.33, coupled with three centuries and two fifties, made him one of the most exciting talents in the league.
Chikara has continued his impressive form into the 2024 season, kicking off with a blazing 26-ball 66 against Kashi Rudras. His aggressive approach and knack for playing match-winning knocks make him a vital asset for the Mavericks.
Abhishek Goswami
Abhishek Goswami, the 26-year-old batter for Gorakhpur Lions, is participating in his second UP T20 League and is looking to replicate his success from the inaugural season. Goswami was the leading run-scorer for his team last year, scoring 387 runs from 10 innings at an impressive average of 48.38, with a top score of 95.
Although his start to the 2024 season has been less than ideal, with scores of 13 and 11 in his first two matches, Goswami’s consistency from last season makes him a batter to watch.
Shivam Bansal
Shivam Bansal is another young batter with the potential to make a significant impact in UP T20 2024. The 23-year-old played a crucial role for Kashi Rudras in the 2023 edition, finishing as the second-highest run-getter for his team. Racking up 354 runs from 12 innings, Bansal’s bat was on fire with three half-centuries, including a high score of 69.
Despite a disappointing start to this season with just one run in his opening game, Bansal’s potential and previous performances make him a crucial player for the Rudras.
Aditya Sharma
Rounding out our list is Aditya Sharma, a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter for Noida Super Kings. Sharma showed glimpses of his potential in the previous season of the UP T20 League, scoring 176 runs from nine matches at an average of 35.20 and a strike rate of 132.33.
Although Sharma managed only seven runs in his opening game this season, his past performances suggest that he is capable of much more.
