Chennai Super Kings take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad at home in the 29th match of the IPL on Friday (April 21). Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of less than 150 in the allotted 20 overs. After that, Chennai Super Kings reached the port of victory before the end of the scheduled 20 overs. Along with that, Ravindra Jadeja won the man of the match title by bowling brilliantly.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first and sent Sunrisers Hyderabad into bat. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batsmen could not open their hands to the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja and Matheesha Pathirana. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s two openers, Harry Brook and Abhishek Sharma, started very well.

But they didn’t have a good time for long. Their first wicket fell at 35 runs. With the help of 3 fours, Harry Brook left the field after being caught out with 18 runs from 13 balls.

Then Rahul Tripathi accompanied Abhishek Sharma. The two together took the team’s run from 35 to 71 runs. But Abhishek Sharma was caught out in the 2nd ball of 10 overs and returned to the dressing room. He played the biggest innings of 34 runs off 26 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six before getting out. After that, Sunrisers Hyderabad could not increase the innings as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Rahul Tripathi scored 21 runs in 21 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six. Captain Aiden Markram scored 12 runs off 12 balls. He also hit 1 four. Heinrich Klaasen scored 17 runs off 16 balls with the help of 1 four. Mayank Agarwal scored 2 runs off 4 balls. Marco Jansen scored 16 runs off 22 balls playing ODI style in T20. Besides, Washington Sundar scored 9 runs.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 134 runs in 20 overs after losing 7 wickets in short innings with 4 extra runs.

Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets with 22 runs in 4 overs for Chennai Super Kings. Besides, Akash Singh, Maheesh Theekshana, and Matheesha Pathirana took 1 wicket each.  

Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings snatched the victory with 8 balls in hand in response to the target of 135 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway got off to a great start when they came out to bat in the 2nd innings. Both of them made the innings of 87 runs in 11 overs. But then the incident happened. Ruturaj Gaikwad was run out on the last ball of the 11th over. He scored 35 off 30 balls with 2 fours before getting out.

After that Devon Conway survived on one side but wickets started to fall on the other side. Ajinkya Rahane left the field after getting caught out after playing 10 balls with 9 runs. Ambati Rayudu was bowled out in the 17th over. Scored 9 runs off 9 balls. In the end, Devon Conway took the victory and left the field with Moeen Ali.

Moeen Ali scored 6 runs off 6 balls with the help of 1 four. Besides, Devon Conway was unbeaten after playing great innings of 77 runs off 57 balls. His innings of 77 runs were studded with 1 dozen fours and 1 six.

Mayank Markande took 2 wickets with 23 runs in 4 overs for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
