Indian national team pacer Deepak Chahar was out of the field for almost a year due to injury. Could not play in the last season of IPL. However, this Indian fast bowler has fully recovered from the injury. Can play in the upcoming season of IPL. He said this himself recently.
This is big news for Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL. Chahar played for Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. Even though Chennai did not get him last year, they will get him in this event. The news of his getting fit is known from the Indian media sources. In the interview, Chahar said, “I have had to struggle a lot to overcome the injury. I have worked hard for the last two-three months. And now I am injury free. I am fully fit to play the IPL.”
Chahar has overcome two injuries. At first, he got hurt on his back. After getting recovered from it, he returned to the field. But for the second time he had to fall under the injury. This Indian right-arm pacer injured his hamstring after bowling just 3 overs. And due to two consecutive injuries, he could not play in the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. The Indian team also understood his lack. And Chahar had to sweat a lot to overcome those two injuries.
In the interview, Chahar also said, “After the first injury, I became injured before recovering from the first one. I got two big injuries in a row. And it was not easy for me to come out of this injury. Pacers take more time to recover from injuries. It’s not just me, but fast bowlers all over the world. It took us longer to get over the injury than others. But now I’m completely recovered.”
ODI World Cup will be held in India this year. But his chances there depend on his performance in the IPL and Asia Cup before that. Chahar said, “My goal is that whatever I do either batting or bowling, I will give 100 percent on the field. I am not confident in the results here. If I can give my all on the field, then I will get a chance.”
Chahar did not get a chance to play for a long time in the national team. He got hurt again by this time. Chahar made his debut in the Indian team in 2018. Since then, he has played a total of 13 ODIs and 24 T20Is.
