Sridhar’s complaint against Shubman was that the young Indian star did not practice fielding properly. That’s why the coach got angry with him. However, there are reasons for not focusing on practice. Shubman thinks he is a good enough fielder. However, according to the coach, there is no alternative to practice to become the big star of the future. According to Sridhar, Shubman has the talent to become a big star.

Addressing the issue of Shubman in his autobiography, Sridhar wrote, “In March 2021, India will play the last Test against England in Ahmedabad. At that time, I had a problem with Shubman. I also complained about it to Shastri against Shubman. Later, however, there was no problem between the two. We settle the matter. Went to eat together.”

Explaining the exact reason for the trouble, Sridhar also wrote, “I told him (Shubman), you are going to be the future star of the Indian team. Everyone is looking at you. You will do what you feel comfortable doing on the field. Of course, keep this in mind, you’re on the field. Your action should always be perfect. Be it batting or fielding, may your work be an inspiration to all.”

However, Shubman has become matured a lot with time. This right-hander is the regular ODI opener of the Indian team. He is also performing according to the needs of the team. Recently he has also seen a double century, which is also a world record as the youngest cricketer in history. It is quite conceivable that he is going to be the top batsman of the Indian team in the next World Cup at home.
