Hardik breathing on Shakib’s shoulder

Hardik breathing on Shakib’s shoulder

Once, Hardik Pandya’s bat-ball edge seemed to get lost in the mix of injury and off form. But determination and hard work have brought him back to the ranks of the best. There was no looking back for Hardik after his spectacular comeback with last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). This time he is on the way to become the world’s best all-rounder in T20.

Hardik has been in great T20 form for a long time. Contributing regularly for the team with bat-ball. During this time, the captaincy of the Indian team also fell on his shoulders. He is handling that responsibility fearlessly. Recently, Hardik has won the series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand as well. He also became the man of the series against New Zealand. And so got the good news in the ranking.

In the recent T20 rankings published by ICC, Hardik has come up at number two in the list of all-rounders. Basically, the series best performance against New Zealand has pushed him forward. Before the start of this series, Hardik’s name was number three in the list of all-rounders. But with the bat-ball performance against the Kiwis, the Indian all-rounder’s current rating points are 250!

Not just the number two. Hardik also gave a warning message to Shakib Al Hasan. The Indian star is just two points away from taking the top spot in the all-rounder rankings. Shakib’s rating point is 252, which holds the distinction as the best all-rounder in T20 so far. But at the pace Hardik is going, it is only a matter of time before he becomes the best.

Meanwhile, Hardik’s responsibility in the Indian team is also increasing with individual performance. He can become the full-time captain very soon from acting captain. In the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to send a team led by Hardik. Such is the rumor in Indian cricket now. Hardik may also want to lead the team from the front, to give them a taste of the long-elusive World Cup title.
