Maxwell returns to the field recovering from the injury

Glenn Maxwell has been out of field for a long time due to injury. The Australian star all-rounder has had to wait a long time to recover and return to the field. Now that waiting time is over, he returned to the field. However, Maxwell did not play in the jersey of the Australian team, but in a local professional league in the country. He also scored runs while playing with the bat. Maxwell is polishing himself through this league before returning to the national team.

Earlier, Maxwell slipped at a friend’s birthday party during the last T20 World Cup. There he was seriously injured, broke his left leg. Later, he had to go through surgery on the injured area. That’s why the star all-rounder left the field for a long time. He then returned to the field after about four months, and played an innings of fifty runs in the professional league.

Maxwell is trying to understand his physical condition from this match. However, after healing the injury, he now considers himself 80 percent fit. In an interview, the Australian all-rounder said, “I think I’m 80 percent fit now. It’s good to be back on the field. I’m doing regular gym, rehab, pool and fizzing sessions. Hopefully, I can return to international cricket very soon.”

However, Maxwell believes that preparation for international cricket and domestic cricket is different. Because of that, he is preparing himself well. In this context, Maxwell also said, “My injury problem is almost at an end. Now I am trying to get myself 100% fit. I am preparing in such a way that I can give 100% in batting and bowling. I want to get fitness for ODI matches.”

It is expected that Maxwell will return to international cricket with the upcoming India series. After the end of ongoing Border – Gavaskar Trophy, Australia will play the ODI series on Indian soil. Maxwell is likely to play in that series. At the end of this year, since the ODI World Cup will be held in India, the Australian Cricket Board wants to play this important all-rounder.
