Pakistan has no guts not to play World Cup in India: Ashwin

India-Pakistan war of words continues over the Asia Cup. India will not go to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup. And in response, Pakistan also threatened not to play the World Cup in India. After so long, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin opened his mouth about the matter. Even if India does not play in Pakistan, Pakistan is bound to come to India, he claimed recently. Team India’s all-rounder said these things in a video message.

According to Ashwin, Pakistan is bound to come. This has happened before. Recently on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, “Pakistan has said before that they will not come to India to play. Whenever we say that we will not go to play in Pakistan, they also refuse to come to India. But I think that is not possible. Pakistan has to come to India to play. That is the reality.”

A large portion of ICC’s income comes from Indian cricket. Ashwin commented that if India refuses to play in any tournament, it will be ICC’s loss. Therefore, Ashwin feels that Pakistan does not have the courage even if the Indian team refuses to play in Pakistan. The all-rounder also said, “ICC is dependent on India playing or not playing in any of the ICC competitions. ICC knows that if India does not play, ICC will face financial loss. And ICC will never want them to suffer.”

Ashwin also said, “Cricket is our big market in the world. That’s why ICC gives so much importance to India. But if Pakistan doesn’t come to India in ODI World Cup, then ICC or Pakistan don’t care. And it can’t even affect such a big competition. No matter what Pakistan says, they are bound to come to India to play. “

Meanwhile, in a recent meeting of the Asian Cricket Council, there was a glimpse of changing the venue of the Asia Cup. In the meeting, the venue of the Asia Cup was moved from Pakistan, but PCB Chairman Najam Shetty did not object. According to Indian media sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board is in financial trouble at the moment. And if they host the Asia Cup, there will be a possibility of financial loss for them. But if the venue is moved, it will be to their advantage in terms of making money. So the PCB chief did not go into any conflict about this. However, even if the venue is shifted from Pakistan, it will be known next March.
