The annual awards ceremony of Australian cricket was held on Monday. Where many cricketers have received awards in different categories. Smith received 171 votes on his way to becoming the 2022 Cricketer of the Year. The Aussi batsman left behind Travis Head and David Warner in this competition. Head received 144 votes and Warner received 141 in the Man of the Year competition. Initially awarded by a vote of former Australian cricketers, umpires and journalists, the award is named after Alan Border.

Meanwhile, Smith, who received the award of the year, showed an eye-catching performance in 2022. He scored 863 runs in 72 Tests. He also scored 539 runs in ODIs at an average of 67.37.
