Taskin said no to PSL, preferring Bangladesh

The eighth season of PSL is going on in Pakistan. Taskin Ahmed, one of the best pacers of Bangladesh, got a call there. But this pacer of Bangladesh refused the offer to play in PSL. He had the chance to play for Multan Sultans of PSL. However, with the important England series ahead, Taskin wants to focus on that for now.

The injury does not leave Taskin behind. Taskin suffered a hamstring injury while fielding in the Sylhet phase of the BPL on January 30. He then had to do an MRI. There he caught a grade one. And after that Taskin went to rest.

Meanwhile, Taskin was called to the Multan Sultans team in the PSL. In the condition of his injury, he could have played if he wanted to. He also consulted a physio. However, he does not want to take risks at this moment. In the interview, Taskin said, “We have the England series. It is very important for us. And in between there (PSL) offers to play a few matches. But if I play there and miss here, it will look bad. Even so, I am recovering from an injury. It’s more important for me to be fit at the moment. I have no regrets about not playing there. That’s why I’m not playing PSL.”

Some of Pakistan’s star cricketers have played in the recently concluded BPL. Cricketers like Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Naseem Shah have played in this BPL. Even if Taskin does not play, the star cricketer of Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan is also playing in the PSL. He is playing for Peshawar Zalmir. Shakib has already played one match.

It is to be noted that Taskin has also missed playing in the franchise league to play for the national team. Taskin got the chance to play in the IPL last year during the South Africa series. But he also refused the offer. For that, however, he was also given a separate honorarium from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
