The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled an action-packed home and away schedule for the 2024-25 international season, promising cricket fans an exhilarating year. This busy schedule will see Pakistan hosting top cricketing nations including Bangladesh, England, and the West Indies for a total of seven Test matches, all of which are part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. Additionally, Pakistan will host an ODI tri-series with New Zealand and South Africa in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held at home.

 

The home cricket season kicks off in August with a highly anticipated two-Test series against Bangladesh. This exciting series will commence with the first Test taking place in Rawalpindi, running from August 21st to 25th. 

 

As the season progresses into October, Pakistan will play host to England in what promises to be an exhilarating three-Test series. Venues of Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi are expected to offer their unique atmosphere and challenges, adding to the excitement and unpredictability of the series.

 

West Indies visit for a two-Test series. These matches are set to take place in the bustling cities of Karachi and Multan. This series will be the perfect culmination of a thrilling home season, with Pakistan aiming to showcase their cricketing prowess on familiar turf against formidable international opponents.

Pakistan’s international commitments extend beyond their home turf, with a hectic away schedule in November, December, and January. The team will travel to Australia for a series of three ODIs and three T20Is, followed by a tour to Zimbabwe with the same format. Subsequently, Pakistan will head to South Africa for an all-format series, which includes a highly anticipated Boxing Day Test at Centurion, and concludes with a second Test in Cape Town in early January 2025.
