Williamson not playing in the India series

The New Zealand cricket team will fly to India after the tour of Pakistan. Busy schedule, that too on foreign soil. Now Kane Williamson’s name has been added to that list. This batsman is not in T20 team.

It is known that Williamson will return home after the Pakistan series. As a result, New Zealand will play the T20 series against India without their regular captain. Santner’s experience leading the Blackcaps is not new. Although not a permanent captain, he has led the country in 11 T20 matches before. However, most of his matches were against weaker teams like Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. That’s why leading against a strong team like India is quite challenging for Santner.

Meanwhile, New Zealand is not getting many more cricketers due to injuries. Star pacers like Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Adam Neilne and Ben Sears were not included in the T20 squad against India. This series of New Zealand against India will start from January 27. Of course, it remains to be seen how the Blackcaps will do without such an important cricketer.

Note that the remaining two T20 matches of the series will be held on January 29 and February 1 starting on January 27. The three matches of the series will be played in three cities in India. The first match will be played in Ranchi. Then both parties will leave, to Lakshmout. They will play the second match there. The third and final T20 match of the series will be played in Hyderabad.
