The upcoming season of Legends League Cricket (LLC), a global T20 cricket league that features recently retired international cricketers, is almost here. The series will return to India between November 18 and December 9 following a successful run in March. Six teams will compete in the event, which takes place in four different cities. The India Capitals, headed by Gautam Gambhir, will play the Bhilwara Kings, led by Irfan Pathan, in the opening match of the 2023 LLC season on November 18 in Ranchi.
India Capitals defeated Bhilwara Kings by 104 runs in the Jaipur final to win the previous LLC tournament. They have put up a formidable team once more, and they will be the one to defeat this time around as well.
Irfan Pathan will be leading Bhilwara Kings, the runners-up from the previous season, once again. Being an all-arounder, he will be crucial. Even though Pathan didn’t bowl well the previous season, he was a terrific batsman, scoring 148 runs at a 142 strike rate.
The last time he batted, skipper Gautam Gambhir had an inconsequential tournament. and would like to perform better this year. Their top scorer in the last edition was all-arounder Ashley Nurse, who scored 247 runs with a strike rate of nearly 200 in 6 innings! He is undoubtedly the hitter to keep an eye on. Hashim Amla has also been brought on by the Capitals. It is anticipated that the sophisticated South African batter would lead the squad in opening and deliver strong starts. England’s Kevin Pietersen, who can quickly put the opposition out of the game, gives them more batting depth.
Leg-spinner Pravin Tambe (11 wickets in 6 innings last season) is one bowler who can make a significant difference. Fidel Edwards and Munaf Patel, for example, will provide all of their experience with the new ball.

In the previous round, William Porterfield was their most successful batter, averaging 38.14 and striking out 142 in 7 innings to score 267 runs. Yusuf Pathan also had an amazing season, snatching 7 wickets at an average of 17.42 and smashing 228 runs at an 182 strike rate. Don’t forget to look out for Shane Watson. In addition to being able to obliterate any bowling attack, the Australian all-rounder can take significant wickets in the middle overs. To strengthen their batting lineup, Bhilwara also has players like Tilakaratne Dilshan and Lendl Simmons.
Their bowling is a bit light, and Tim Murtagh, Rahul Sharma, and the Pathan brothers will need to put in the most effort.
