New Zealand are fourth as they are ahead in net run rate even though they have equal points in equal matches. Afghanistan is also breathing down Pakistan’s neck with equal 8 points. They have played one match less than Pakistan and New Zealand. 

 

Pakistan lost the wicket of Abdullah Shafiq for 6 runs in the run chase. However, Fakhar Zaman counter-attacked with Babar Azam, who was down at no 3. The two put on a 194-run stand until the rain came. Fakhar Zaman played a devastating innings of 126 runs off 81 balls with 8 fours and 11 sixes. Babar was unbeaten with 66 runs off 63 balls.

 

Earlier, they scored 401 runs for 6 wickets based on the innings of Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson. Rachin scored 108 runs. Kane Williamson also went close to a century.
