Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians (Match 25) – Highlights In the 25th IPL game, Sunrisers Hyderabad host Mumbai Indians at home on Tuesday (April 18).
Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (Match 17) – Highlights
On Wednesday, match-17 of the IPL takes place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals (April 12). Rajasthan Royals set a massive goal to bat first in that enthralling game. Later, Chennai Super Kings came down to try to reach that goal but were able to prevail for just 3 runs. Coupled with this, Ravichandran Ashwin’s strong bowling and batting earned him the title of Man of the Match.
That’s how T20 is. As seen yesterday in the Rajasthan Royals, a team can generate a healthy score even if two to four individuals play noteworthy innings instead of one huge inning.
In yesterday’s game, Jos Buttler was the only one who scored fifty runs. Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, and Ravichandran Ashwin all played an inning that was above thirty runs. With that, Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan team amassed a valiant total of 175 runs for 8 wickets. In other terms, the Chennai Super Kings needed to score 176 runs to win.
Batting first after losing the toss, Yashasvi Jaiswal (10) failed to score, but Joss Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal continued the runs. In the ninth over, Ravindra Jadeja grabbed two wickets. After 38-run innings from 26 balls Padikkal was caught out by Conway and Captain Samson was bowled for 0 from 2 balls.
Ravichandran Ashwin returned to the dressing room with 30 off 22 balls. Moeen Ali, a fellow countryman, bowled out Buttler, who hit one four and three sixes while scoring 52 runs off 36 balls.
Shimron Hetmyer eventually assumed control. With two fours and six off 18 balls, he had 30 runs and was still unbeaten. The final two balls went without a strike for Hetmyer. So two Rajasthan wickets were lost. If not, perhaps the capital would have been a bit larger. They eventually put up a fighting capital with an additional 10 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja, Tushar Deshpande, and Akash Singh all claimed two wickets for the Chennai bowlers. In addition, Moeen Ali claimed 1 wicket.
Following that tense game between Delhi and Mumbai, Kolkata Knight Riders also played a great battle. The match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals before that was a tense moment. It is expected that each match in the IPL this year would culminate in a magnificent circumstance. As it occurred during Wednesday night’s encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
In response to Rajasthan Royal’s 175 runs, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings stopped at 172 runs. Rajasthan Royals won by just three runs as a consequence and exited the field.
The first batter in the second innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad, was struck out for just 8 runs off 10 balls. Devon Conway hit six fours in order to score 50 runs off of 38 balls. With two fours and one six, Ajinkya Rahane scored 31 runs off 19 balls.
21 runs were to be scored in the last over for the game to be won. The first two balls that bowler Sandeep Sharma delivered were wide. With the first legitimate ball, Chennai was unable to score any runs. In the following two balls, Dhoni smacked two consecutive sixes. On the following three balls, neither Dhoni nor Jadeja was able to execute any big strokes.
Then Sharma bowled brilliantly, allowing just three runs in three balls. As a result, Chennai suffered a 3-run loss.
In the end, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 32 runs in 17 balls to help his team win, and Ravindra Jadeja finished with an unbeaten 25 runs in 15 balls. But their erratic batting also wasn’t helpful. As a result, they had to leave the field with a defeat.
