In the 21st IPL game, Lucknow Super Giants host Punjab Kings at home on Saturday (April 15). Punjab Kings defeated the hosts Lucknow Super Giants in the final over after Lucknow Super Giants batted first and set a solid goal. In addition, Sikandar Raja received the Man of the Match award for his effective bowling and good batting. 

Batting first, Lokesh Rahul, the captain, battled alone for the majority of the innings. The others were powerless to act. Rahul had massive innings, but Lucknow Super Giants fell short of the 160-point mark.

Kyle Myers and Lokesh Rahul were the two openers who began to bat after losing the toss. They scored 53 runs together off 46 balls. In the eighth over, Myers was out for 29 off 23 balls. Then Deepak Hooda returned to the dressing room for 2 runs in the following over.

Rahul and Krunal Pandya then put together a partnership of 48 runs in 35 balls. The 15th over features a double from Kagiso Rabada. When Punjab first came down to answer the goal of 160 runs, they were in trouble. Between the two openers, Atharva Taide was out for 0 runs. Only 4 runs were scored when Prabashimran Singh was out. Then, with the help of Mathew Short and Harpreet Singh, Punjab made a U-turn. Off 22 balls, Matthew Short scored 34 runs. In 22 balls, Harpreet Singh scored 22 runs.
