Seattle Orcas and Washington Freedom faced each other in the 3rd match of Major League Cricket starting this year. Batting first in that match, Washington Freedom set a moderate target in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing that target, Seattle Orcas reached the target before the end of the allotted 20 overs. As a result, Washington Freedom had to leave the field with a loss of 5 wickets. On the other hand, Imad Wasim won the man-of-the-match title for Seattle Orcas with good batting and bowling.
The Seattle Orcas captain won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited Washington Freedom to bat. Batting first, Washington Freedom’s openers could not get off to a good start. They lost 3 wickets for the team’s 45 runs. Matthew Short who scored 2 runs from 3 balls left the field first. After that, Mukhtar Ahmed returned to the dressing room after getting 5 runs in 5 balls after falling into the LBW trap. Glenn Phillips came in for the 3rd wicket. Even though he was on the field for quite some time, he also left the field after scoring 20 runs off 13 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six.

Shehan Jayasuriya scored only 6 runs off 8 balls. Heinrich Klaasen left the field for 1 run after playing 3 balls.
Although wickets were falling from one side, Nauman Anwar was standing right on the other side. But he also left the field with the last ball of the 14th over. He scored 48 runs off 37 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes before leaving the field. Then Imad Wasim and Shimron Hetmyer combined to take the team’s run to 140 runs.
