Cricket Highlights, 17 April: IPL2024 (Match 32) – Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals

Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals (Match 32) – Highlights

In the 32nd match, Gujarat Titans were bowled out just for 89 runs, which is the lowest total in their IPL history. However, Rishabh’s Delhi Capitals showed a lot of haste in chasing a modest target. Despite losing 4 wickets, Rishabh Pant’s team has successfully crossed the target.

Delhi beat Gujarat by 6 wickets in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (April 17). Delhi reached the port of victory with 67 balls left to bat against the target of 90 runs given by Gujarat.

Chasing the target, Jack Fraser McGurk attacked the Gujarat bowlers early on. However, he could not score more than 20 runs in 10 balls. Another opener Prithvi Shaw also returned with 31 runs for the team.

Delhi also lost wickets at regular intervals. No one could score more than 20 runs. However, Delhi left the field with an easy win thanks to the cameo innings of Abhishek Porel, Rishabh Pant, and Shai Hope.

Batting first, Gujarat lost wickets from the start. Start with Shubman Gill. He returned after being caught behind by Ishant Sharma at the team’s 11 runs. Wriddhiman Saha got out in the fourth over after scoring 2 runs off 10 balls.

Sai Sudarshan was run out 1 ball after Wriddhiman was dismissed. David Miller caught behind the wicket in the same over. Abhinav Manohar and Shah Rukh Khan came back in consecutive balls in the ninth over by stumping.

Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia made a partnership of 18 runs for the seventh wicket. This was the highest run pairing in Gujarat’s innings. In the twelfth over, Tewatia returned by lbw off Axar.

Rashid Khan fought alone for Gujarat. However, this Afghan star could not score more than 31 runs from 24 balls. In his fighting innings, Gujarat finally stopped for 89 runs.

Mukesh Kumar was the most successful bowler for Delhi yesterday. This pacer took 3 wickets with 14 runs in 2 overs and 3 balls. Tristan Stubbs and Ishant Sharma each claimed two wickets.

This was Gujarat’s lowest run record in IPL history. Earlier the team’s lowest score was 125 runs. Rashid-Gill did that last season against Delhi.
