New Zealand vs South Africa faced each other in the 7th warm-up match of the ICC World Cup. At the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, on October 2, the game between New Zealand and South Africa was called off due to a persistent shower of rain. Apart from him, Tom Latham scored 52 runs off 56 balls. While he hit 4 fours and 1 six. By hitting 4 fours and 1 six Glenn Phillips made 43 runs off 40 balls.
Kane Williamson took 37 runs off 51 balls. Daryl Mitchell scored 25 runs off 16 balls. He also hit 3 fours and 1 six. Besides, Will Young made 12 runs, Mark Chapman made 20 runs off 20 balls, 14 runs were scored by James Neesham, and Mitchell Santner took 16 runs off 14 balls.
For South Africa, 6 wickets were taken by Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi (each 3).
Rassie van der Dussen scored a quick-fire fifty to restart South Africa’s innings after they lost the wicket of Reeza Hendricks for zero during the run chase. Quinton de Kock was leading the run chase with 84 (12 fours and 1 six) not out off 89 balls when the scoreboard read 211/4 in 37 overs, but the constant onslaught of rain prevented him from leading his team to victory.
Besides, Quinton de Kock, Rassie van der Dussen made 51 runs off 56 balls with 9 fours. Captain Aiden Markram scored 13 runs off 13 balls. 39 runs were scored by Heinrich Klaasen. He hit 5 fours and 1 six in his 37-ball innings. In the end, David Miller was unbeaten at 18 runs off 26 balls.
For New Zealand, Trent Boult took 2 wickets. Besides, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi each took one wicket.
