Pakistan vs India (Match 3) – Highlights

Two times, rain interrupted India’s innings. Nevertheless, despite the interruption, the innings were finished. For 266 runs, India was all out. As a result, Pakistan‘s objective was 267 runs.

Pakistan, however, was unable to bat in order to reach the mark. Rain forced the cancellation of the game. Both teams had to split one point each as a result.

India lost 4 wickets earlier for a total of 66 runs. Then the team was rescued from that serious threat by Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya. Moreover, the pair opened the door to the possibility of a large capital for India.

They scored 237 runs for 5 wickets in 42 overs. It appeared as though 300 runs or more might be scored. However, the Pakistani bowlers performed superbly in the final overs. As a result, India was restricted to 266 runs in 48.5 overs.

After winning the toss and batting for 15 runs in 4.2 overs, the game was stopped due to rain.

After it rained, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi entered the game, and India was hit by the cannon. Afridi returned Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two cornerstones of Indian batting, in his two subsequent overs.

Shaheen Afridi’s superb delivery bowled Indian skipper Rohit (11 off 22 balls). The first wicket fell at India’s 15 runs. Then Afridi’s subsequent over had another outstanding delivery. This time, the brazen Kohli (7 balls 4). 2 wickets for 27 runs were lost by India.

Shreyas Iyer was still interested in playing. However, his excessive aggression put people at risk. Fakhar Zaman caught out Iyer when he pulled the ball off Haris Rauf. He used 9 balls and made 14. The rain returned after scoring 51 runs for 3 wickets in 11.2

overs.

When the game resumed after the rain stopped, Haris Rauf struck. Shubman Gill (10 off 32 balls) got bowled out after the ball hit the bat. At that time, India lost 4 wickets for 66 runs.

From there, the team was pulled by Hardik and Ishaan. For the fifth wicket, they combined for a partnership of 138 runs off 141 balls. But both had to go back, with the regret of the century.

Ishan hit 82 runs in 81 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes while Haris Rauf broke the huge pair by sending back him to the pavilion. At Hardik’s personal 87 runs, he got preyed on by Shaheen Shah Afridi. In 90 balls, Hardik hit 7 fours and a six.

After the set two batters returned, India’s hopes of scoring a large total were dashed. The Indians were ultimately held back by Nasim-Afridi. India’s innings came to an end with 266 runs with 7 balls remaining as a result.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets for 35 runs. At a cost of 36 runs, three wickets were taken by Nasim Shah, and for 58 runs Haris Rauf took three wickets.

After this match, Pakistan was promoted to the Super Four on September 6, Wednesday.
