Lucknow did not get off to a good start when they came to bat at home. They lost the wickets of Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis to score 11 runs. In the third wicket partnership, captain Lokesh Rahul and Deepak Hooda overcame the disaster and laid the foundation for the big target. By the time Deepak departed with the first ball of the 13th over, Lucknow’s tally had reached 126 runs. Deepak became Ashwin’s victim after scoring 50 runs off 31 balls. He had 7 fours in his innings.

However, Nicholas Pooran did not live up to expectations on this day. This Caribbean became the victim of Sandeep Sharma after scoring 11 runs off 11 balls. In the next over, Stoinis sent back Jaiswal before any runs were added. He scored 24 runs off 18 balls with 3 fours and 1 six.

Ryan Parag also failed to score big runs. He became a victim of Amit Mishra after scoring 14 runs off 11 balls. But the captain Sanju had already started the storm.

Then, Jurel also joined Sanju in the fourth-wicket partnership. Rajasthan reached the port of victory with the unbreakable pair of the two. Sanju scored 71 runs off just 33 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes. Besides, Jurel scored 52 runs off 34 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Stoinis took 1 wicket with 3 runs in 1 over for Lucknow. Besides, Yash Thakur and Amit Mishra took 1 wicket each.

With this win, Rajasthan has almost confirmed the playoffs with 16 points from 8 wins in 9 matches.
