Chasing a big target in the 45th match of the IPL on Sunday (April 28), Royal Challengers defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 9 wickets with 24 balls to spare. Chasing 201 runs, they reached the target losing only 1 wicket in 16 overs.

Will Jacks scored an incredible century on the way to win the team. RCB needed 24 runs off the last 30 balls to win. Jacks needed 28 runs for his century. The English all-rounder was unbeaten on 72 off 36 balls and Kohli on 69 off 43.

Jacks scored a century by hitting Rashid over deep-square and deep-midwicket for a six. In that, Rashid spent the highest 51 runs for the team in 4 overs from no wicket.

In the end, Jacks remained unbeaten with 100 runs in 41 balls, hitting 10 sixes and 5 fours. On the other hand, Kohli remained unbeaten on 70 runs off 44 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. He also touched the milestone of 500 runs in the current season while playing this innings. Skipper Faf du Plessis got out with 3 sixes and 1 four, 24 runs off 12 balls while chasing runs earlier at Gujarat’s home venue. Sai Kishore took his wicket.

Earlier, the batsmen of Gujarat Titans were also brilliant with the bat. At the end of the scheduled 20 overs, they collected 200 runs, losing only 3 wickets. Sai Sudharsan was unbeaten on 84 off 49 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes.

Besides, Shahrukh Khan scored 58 runs off 30 balls and David Miller remained unbeaten on 26 runs off 19 balls. Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, and Swapnil Singh took 1 wicket each for RCB.

Meanwhile, even after this victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the bottom of the points table with 6 points in 10 matches. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans are in the seventh position with 8 points in the same number of matches.
