Muhammad Waseem contributed 14 runs off 24 balls, including 2 boundaries, but struggled with a strike rate of 58.33 before falling to Sunil Narine. Pargat Singh added 10 runs off 17 balls before being trapped lbw by Narine. Captain Shakib Al Hasan scored just 1 run off 7 balls, also falling to Narine. Iftikhar Ahmed managed 13 runs off 21 balls but was caught behind by Marcus Stoinis. Curtis Campher chipped in with 10 runs off 12 balls before being bowled by Logan van Beek.
The match was turned around by David Wiese, who played a crucial innings, scoring 27 not out off 19 balls with a strike rate of 142.10, hitting a four and two sixes. He was well-supported by Dilon Heyliger, who scored 17 not out off 12 balls, also striking a four and a six with a strike rate of 141.66. Together, they guided Bangla Tigers Mississauga to a 4-wicket win with 6 balls remaining. Extras contributed 6 runs to the total.
Surrey Jaguars’ bowlers put up a strong fight but couldn’t prevent Bangla Tigers Mississauga from reaching 102/6 in 19 overs. Ben Lister led the attack, bowling 4 overs and conceding 22 runs with 1 wicket at an economy rate of 5.50. He bowled 13 dot balls and conceded 2 wides.
